It got changed on saturday(1st march). coz, i was checking the status till friday late evening.

I got the following reply to my status enquiry today morning.

I called up today morning and was told a decision has been taken and my passport has been passed to the "Issue Team". When I asked if the person knew what the decision was she said " It has been issued", I am hoping its a positive news. Fingers crossed.

Yes right now it's asking for username and pasword. I think they might be making some changes.

I applied for EC at Vile Parle, Mumbai VFS centre. How long does Mumbai-BHC will take? Some of the forums says that Mumbai-BHC is very faster.

How can I check for Integra status? Is there any way to track the status. Actually I am working in one of the leading MNC, for the Integra verification I just given the board number, b'cs even I don't know my HR.

Kindly help me.

Spoke to my HR manger and he confirmed that he received a mail from integra and were asking him to confirm my designation and salary. He has already sent reply to the email.

He was bit confused why he received the email, I just told him that I have applied for visit visa along with my husband and would be going on a holiday. He was convinced.

The integra mail was somethinglike this "the candidate mentioned above applied for a UK visa and we need to verify her employment before a decsion can be made. It would be helpful if you could answer the questionnaire attached." Questions asked were like designation salary, working in this company for how long? etc etc

This is not the exact wording of the email, just jist of the email

Hai Raju,

Just relax buddy. Based on the inputs from our friends in this POST, it appears that Mumbai, Delhi are faster than Chennai BHC. I looks like it is taking minimum of 10-12 working days for the decision. By the end of this month you should be getting your EC. All the best for your EC.

There is a new Popup window that is coming up today when you visit the website http://www.vfs-uk-in.com/. It is about "NEW UK VISA INFORMATION SERVICE".

Please go through it for the new information desk number. "From 29 February you should dial 080-40084008 for general visa enquiries and information. Calls are charged at local or STD rates depending on your location."

Also there is a note at the end "Please note that all the existing Visa Application Centre Helpline numbers will be withdrawn from 10 March"

I have one question, while applying EC, i had given Covering Letter, in that letter I addressed to Office of the British Deputy High Commission, Chennai, but it should be Office of the British Deputy High Commission, Mumbai. Accidentally I copied this and pasted and taken the print, after submitting I got realized by seeing xerox copy. Will it be a problem. Kindly suggest me what I suppose to do.

Congrats who got their visa's stamped.

I have few queries about my visa. I appreciate if any one can answer them.

1. I have applied for EC on 6th Feb 2008 from VFS Hyderabad. Today when I called up VFS bangalore centralised number, they are still saying my verification is under progress. I am worrying how much time will they take . My question is can I call directly British Deputy High Commission on their phone numbers or not to know my status?

2. Let me know if any one of you has applied for EC from Hyderabad in Feb 2008. If so, please let me know your status.

I am planning to apply for EC in 1st week of March thru VFS pune.
I have couple of questions regding that. Please help me.

Q1) I have few hugh inwards transactions into my savings account. Two credits are for amount 50,000 INR and one is around 90k that I was refunded post an IPO. Will that be an issue?

Q2) I have sufficient funds around 2,50,000 INR in my savings a/c. Can I still go for CA certificate?

Q3) I have a recurring deposit account. Can I show that fund as liquid funds?

Q4) I have couple of Fixed deposits but they are under joint name. So will be full amount of FD will be considered or I can claim only part of that amount?

Q5) Could I be over cautious and get a Sponsor letter from a relative above all these?

I may be sounding carzy, but don't want to miss anything out Smile

It looks like we both applied on the same day 11-Feb-07 from Chennai.

Sunny,

VFS will only know the status when your application is sent
back to them from BHC after processing. When I enquired
with VFS last friday, they said the same to me.
But today a decision was made by BDHC.
You can call up the BDHC directly and enquire about your status

--->Explain the reason in your covering letter. Also mention the reason in the other comments column in the application form.

--->nobody knows the exact amount to show(under the current rules). I showed 2.7las cash + 2 lacs worth mutual funds and shares. So to show consolidated assets i got a CA letter. I feel if the liquid cash is above 3.5lacs no need for any other proofs.

me too applied on 11th.,I am waiting anxiously.,keeping hands crossed.,When I called the BDHC.,they told tht they have recieved the integra report.and I believe we can get the results by this week.
