Hi Nellow,
I am in the exactly same situation with you. Applied on 18th March and before 9th Aug I can track my application status with RM tracking number. After that day none of my ID works. I called HO many times they asked me to wait until 6 months. They said their system is not working well so some case ID cannot be recognised. I am so worried as well...

I guess you people dont know how HO phone service works. I have not read a single post that says phoning them has been of any use. They alway repeat that they have no access to any information and only information like how much you have to pay and the links available on gov.uk ae provided. So be prepared

Curious to know why 8 months is going to make a big difference. ~Even if she gets PR from Sept 2017, she will have to wait one year to apply for citizenship. By then certainly PR will not long apply and settled status will be applicable and you will have to go through the process again. It will cause only stress. If she has been working from September 2012 she would be eligible but if she was looking for work initially, the clock would start from the time she exercised treaty rights which means either she was working or looking for work and was on CSI.
Actually 8 months makes a big difference in case she is eligible for PR in September 2017.As far as I'm concerned, the registration for settled status will be voluntary till the actual Brexit - till end of the March 2019. Till then is business as usual. If she gets PR in September this year, she will be eligible to apply for BC in September 2018. If she becomes BC , she won't have to apply for settled status. Having in mind the unknown fee for settled status and the requirements, this might be straightforward way to secure her status.
In that case, why delay your application? Apply in September and see what happens. If refused you can reapply in May 2018 which will be around 2-3 months after getting your refusal letter. Only £65 would be lost.
Just a point Im making is nobody knows how settled status will work. Because as soon as they introduce settled status, they will discontinue PR. and when P~R is discontinued for British C u will need to reapply for settled status. One news report I read said its expected to be introduced in Summer of 2018.

[/quote]

Thanks for your reply guys. That is what we are going to do than, apply and lets see what they come up with. But I have already sent my application for a PR 2 months ago( I am an EU citizen), and so far no payment being taken, no letter asking for biometrics, and they are not even helpful when i call them. I am sure that they got my documents though but should I submit any of my documents or ID with my wife`s application or just include a letter saying that the documents fro the EU husband are sent already? My wife will apply for a PR as a non-EU citizen and we are married since 2010.

I'm an EEA citzen (Germany), married to a UK citizen. I've lived in the UK for 10 years, mostly employed, although I was self-employed for about one year and on jobseeker's allowance for about 3 months. After reading most of the posts here, I expected to get my permanent residency card in December, if at all this year. But it arrived much faster than I thought.
Timeline:

-applied 9.6.17.
(I sent my passport, selected paychecks and P60 forms of the last 10 years (mostly the last 5), bank statements and current work contract.)
-received email confirming receipt of docs: 11.6.17
-requested passport back: 9.7.17
( I never got an email confirming my request, I just took a screenshot of the confirmation screen at the end of the online process.)
-requested follow-up on 'return of documents request': around 25.7.17
(again, I received no email confirming my request)
-received passport back: around 5.8.17
-received Permanent Residence Card and remaining documents: 31.8.17 (accompanying letter dated 20.8.)

So it only took about 11 weeks, which is pretty good going, considering the Gov website says it can take up to 6 months. I have read in one post here that requesting your passport/documents back can help speed up the process, but I can't say for sure if this was the case for me. I recommend taking screenshots of confirmation screens with reference numbers ect, as emails don't always arrive.

My timeline:

4 April 2017 - applied online for EU and non- EU as joint application, we didn't send our passports . only council approved copies.

4 April 2017 - received case ID by email

20 May- emailed EuroBiometrics@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk to ask for biometric letter, but they replied in 1 month when i have already received my letter on 10 of June. I asked them for COA which they send me in 3 days. I guess without asking they will not send me one (can only be my guess)

1 July 2017- checked my reference number and it said Decided, after nothing came within a month I tried to call 03001232253 5 times every 5 days but noone called me back, then i asked my EU husband to call and he got reply from them the same day that they have error on the system and our status Decided is not correct (strange they didn't tell me this - maybe because I'm non-EU? ) . I emailed ukbacustomercomplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk but i received reply in 1 month when i have got the documents already

Couldn't track my number anymore all July-half August as they removed it. but then on:

16 August: our case ID tracked again Decided
23 August: we received a envelope in our postbox on my EU husband name with his PR and 2 letters that we received PR and supporting docks. For non-EU letter stated that i can apply for British passport in April 2018 which is one year after i sent the docks to them.

30 August : I received Non-EU PR via DX courier service (strange they dropped all our supporting docks and PR for EU just in postbox but for non-EU they sent it as "special courier service")

so nearly 5 months.

Guys,
