I fail to understand why members simply can't click on a username to see the posting history instead of posting the same questions, to the same members, over and over again.

Hi. I'm nadia from Indonesia. I've applied uk visa tier 4 regular on 27th of july. They sent me an email 15 days later saying that "it's under consideration and will take more time". Clearly, it supposed to be done within the next 15 days. However, this is my SIXTH WEEK. I've asked a few of my friends who are going to the same university as mine. One of them from Malaysia has been waiting for 8 WEEKS. Another from pakistan has been waiting for 9 WEEKS. Why is there a huge delay? My course is about to start next week. I'm afraid i won't make it JUST BECAUSE OF THIS VISA DELAY!!! My friends are in the same situation as me. I'm highly depressed and suffer from anxiety. I can't eat, sleep. I feel sick and i cry all the time. Please urgently help. Our future careers depend on this.

Dear All,

I applied for my UK Tier 4 General Student visa from Karachi Pakistan.

Timeline:
24th July: Online Application
27th July: Biometrics/Interview/Documents Scanning
4th August: Email from Shefo; Application received at UKVI and is being prepared for consideration by ECO.
18th August: Email from Shefo; Sorry we couldn't make a decision in 15 working days and it will take longer.

I am still waiting for any other contact from UKVI

Course start date: 18th September

I phoned UKVI for the first time on Monday 4th September and they escalated the case.
I phoned my university today and they told me that the CAS has not been used yet.

What should I do now?

Hi guys
I've been following particular topic since yesterday. It felt frustrating while reading others situation.

Applied for Tier4 Visa on 1st August at Lahore,VAC. Got a confirmation email of receiveing online application on 8th of the following. Then on 18th, writing we could not able to process your application in certain timeframe.

Last week received a call from VAC asking me to bring all supporting documents again for rescanning Cuz UKVIC got issue from their side thus they have not received any supporting document.

I emailed my university to check wheather my CAS is still assigned or Been used. Reply was frustrating as my CAS has not been used yet.

My course start date is 25th of September. Only 13 working days are left in it.
So frustrated :(
My case is almost same like yours. I applied at 4th Aug from Lahore and received email of assigning case to ECO on 13th. Then on 18th I received an email to email them a scanned copy of my TB-Test that was sent on the same day.

There is no further news afterwards and my course will also start on 25th. I think we all feel like hanging in the air as lots of pre-departure tasks are still pending due to the unknown status of visa.

Well we all should hope for the best but UKVI is performing worst - even worst than an under developed state office.
What's ur uni? Do ask univ to check wheather your CAS is still assigned or been used.
Its Brunel University London and the CAS is not used - its status is still assigned :(

Hello guys
Following my timeline for Tier 4 visa
1st August / biometric & scanning
8th August / Eco email
18th August / couldn't able to respond in 15 working days
26th August / call from VAC asking for rescanning all supporting documents
27th August / Rescanning
5th Sep / request uni to check if CAS has been used or not
Reply was not been used yet

Today received an email from university.

Dear Student,

I received an email from the Home Office and your case was passed to the Entry Clearance Officer, you should get a decision soon.

The meaning of using CAS by entry clearance officer is that your CAS was passed for decision. As soon as it shows that the CAS has been used, it means a decision has been made.

Can anyone suggest how long it will take now to receive a decision from ECO.
What is your university name?

Dear Nadia,

Most on this forum knows what you're going through. Please contact your Uni and seek their assistance, for most, if not all, universities will be on alert re visa delays and will respond if you make contact. Ask your friends to do the same. Check if your CAS has been used. Follow up diligently.

I hope you will get your decision soon, fingers crossed for everyone xx

Bros I've received my decision just now. Minutes later the email to collect. I've collected my passport already with the visa approved! I will continue assisting and sharing my advise with the other folks here, this was a very stressful journey but made much easier thanks to some of the very helpful members here. If you need any help I'll be here!

hey everybody. I was following this post since the last few days. I had submitted the online tier 4 (non-priority) visa application on 19th July, biometrics and interview at VFS Kolkata on 25th July.
Prepared for consideration by ECO email from Sheffield: 2 Aug
Cannot process within 15 days email from Sheffield: 17 Aug

Nothing since then. escalated twice via email..
Course starting on 13th sept. don't know when I am going to get my visa.

Congrats and I am happy for you. Your wait is ended and it would be well rewarded with visa vignette on your passport.
Please keep updated when you collect passport.

i just thought i share my full timeline with all. I am a singaporean citizen staying in Geneva
August 15 Online Application
August 16 Biometric and documents scanned.
August 17 ECO email from Sheffield
August 30 called International Enquiry
September 5 called again, asked University if cas used. They replied that CAS used.
September 6 called for the third time, told decision made. 1 hour later received email to collect passport. Passport collected with visa.

My suggestion is PLEASE contact your Uni. Each uni has a student support team and visa team to tackle all these problems. They will assist. All the best to all!
