I applied from Lahore, Pakistan on 31st July, 2017. My course starts on coming Monday but I haven't received my passport as yet. I checked with my university today; they have informed me that my CAS has been used. Would it be possible for anyone to assist me as to how many days can it take for the passport to arrive after CAS has been used?

Guys I just received the following email from my uni:

Thank you for your email, I am responding on behalf of xxxxx. I have checked the application for the requested student and can confirm that the students visa has now been issued as of the 13/09/2017. The student should receive correspondence shortly with regards to the collection of their documents.

Does it mean that my visa is granted???? I cannot believe it I need confirmation :o
Your university have clearly mentioned that the student visa has been issued which definitely means granted. What kind of confirmation you need?
Sam, at long last..... hmmmmm. Happy for you. can u give us the breakdown, when u did your bios and stuff. i should be getting mine then.
@richieclear: Its Maldv who received the above decision. I applied as dependent and it is still under consideration as of today..Hopefully once the Tier4 student applications are cleared they will start looking at mine

anyone who applied b/w 6-9 august???
@Iqra, My application date was 04 August and my visa case is decided today. It means your turn in coming up next. You should have a news in coming week hopefully. In case you do not hear anything by the Wednesday, directly call UKVI contact number and ask your vis status by giving the GWF number. They will instantly update you with the current status of your application.

I've applied for my visa on the 29th of august, non-priority, recieved an email from UKVI on the 30th confirming that they recieved my application. Today on September 15th my cas status changed from assigned to used! I'm hoping that means that their backlog in Sheff is clearing up!

Sigh, guys! I had my biometrics on 31st July, 2017 and I've still not received an outcome on my visa application. My university starts on the 20th of this month. I contacted UKVI twice and both times I was reassured that I'd receive my passport within a week of the call but to no avail. I've also contacted my university and according to them my CAS status is still showing up as 'assigned' and that they can't do anything to help at this point. I also emailed UKVI and they have not responded as yet. I think I've lost all hope and I'll eventually have to forgo my admission altogether. This is so frustrating!

I got an update regarding my CAS status this Thursday. Oh, and I applied from Lahore, Pakistan. I've only had one interview, that is, the one taken on the day of the biometrics. That's about it.

I applied on 31st July, 2017 from Lahore, Pakistan as well. My case got decided yesterday and my CAS also got used yesterday apparently. The only difference between our situation is that my course start date was 15th and latest commencement date was 18th. You should be expecting a decision within next five days as they are trying their best to give visas before the course start dates.

Hi everyone . i have been reading the posts on this particular forum for quite sometime now , and i also wanted to share my own story . my timeline is as follows:
standard application applied ; 7th July
biometrics/documents scanning/interview: 10th July
confirmation email: 16th July
enquiry made: 6th Sept
enquiry answered as your request for escalation has been send to the concerned department: 12th Sept

I asked my uni yesterday whether my Cas has been used as yet , and they say it is still assigned . My classes starts on the 18th Sept , and I am so depressed, confused and sad . I don't know what else to do ? Anyone else who has my timeline and is still waiting for their documents?
