Here's an update:
After the straightforward email yesterday, they called my today for 2nd interview, they asked all typical questions they ask (mentioned previously in this discussion).

They didn't give any info regarding when I will hear back from them, the lady only said "soon".
Did they let you know first to get interview like sending u email or did they just call you without u knowing it? Did thy call to ur phone/ home? And do you have immigration history like previously refused somewhere
No they didn't notify me first, they just called my cell number (the one i provided in the application). No I don't have an immigration history but I am a resident of Turkey and I am in the process of renewing my residence permit atm so they asked me about this (among the other typical questions).

I'm pretty positive we're all gonna get it this week.. check the change petition website. EVERYONE there has received their visa. My latest is 6th october. But i really want to join induction week. Honestly, ukvi's playing with our mental health. When is your latest date to enroll?

Guys collected my visa today
Time line : online application 7/07
Biometrics 11/07
Acknowledgement 15/07
Visa issued 13/09
I really wanted to mention one thing , my visa was issued on 13/09 but when I called UkVi on 14/09 I was told that my application is still awaiting a decision , so I guess there are few glitches in the system .
Hope everyone get thier visas soon , and thanks everyone specially the moderators of this website, discussing with fellow students certainly made the 2 months wait easier .
Good luck everyone

might be a while I guess, because it has to come from chennai to sri lanka and then to maldives. A guy who was on this forum got his decision on Saturday and the message to pick it up from vfs Colombo came on Wednesday

A quick update; I got an email from UKVI regarding the status of my visa application. According to them, they've made a decision on my application and it can take up to ten days to get my documents. Fingers crossed.

Those that got called for second interview, may I ask what number called? Was it a UK number? (i.e +4455298401) or was it a skype number? (i.e 12345) because I got a missed call by a number "12345" so I'm not sure if it's from UKVI or just a random number calling me

I applied from Lahore, Pakistan on 31st July. I emailed them last week and received a reply today. I am slightly scared because my visit visa to the UK was rejected last year. I should've gotten a second interview call but oh well. I don't trust their call centres one bit. Hoping for the best!

Yes, i received the non straightforward email together with the apology email for the delay. I got those emails 2 weeks ago but haven't heard from them since. I got the call before the emails also.

I think the best way is to contact ukvi and ask if they have called you or not. Just email them. Share your timeline please
