Tier 4 to Tier 2 Questions

Post by sreegok » Wed Oct 04, 2017 12:16 pm

Hi,

I am a Tier 4 master's student and have completed by studies in Sep. My visa is valid till Jan 2015. I have got a permanent job offer who are ready to sponsor me. However I understand on Tier 4 I cannot work as permanent. The company is ready to offer me a fixed term contract till the end of my Tier 4 visa and meanwhile when my results are out I would apply for Tier 2 visa. Once I get the Tier 2 visa, they would offer me permanent contract.

Can you please advise if this is doable? Please help Urgent.

Surely this is a question for your employer?

Regarding Public Funds

Post by sreegok » Wed Oct 25, 2017 3:20 pm

Hi,

I am on tier 4 visa, and have council tax exemption. I am applying for my tier 2 visa application. There is a question

Have you ever received any public funds in UK?

Should I answer Yes or No to this?

Thanks

It should not be an issue but you will have to notify the council as soon as you are working full time and have a different visa.

Hi,

The council started charging me full amount after my Course end date. Can you please know whether I should answer Yes or No for the question.

Council tax exemption as a student is NOT public funds.
