Advise for my Daughters BC application

Post by gkuk » Thu Oct 05, 2017 6:03 am

Hi all,

I need a bit of advice about filling my daughter's application for British citizenship (Registration):

Daughter Details:
Born - Nov -2012 in India
Entered UK in July-2013.
Father and Mother - ILR status (when she was born and now as well.)

Iam using Form MN1 to file her application.
Can you please provide advise on below details:

1. In Page3: For question 1.1 - “under which section to apply” . Should this be Section 3(5) ?

2. Section 4 : Good Character -
Believe this should not be filled up, since she is less than 10 years.

3.Section 2: Residence Requirement.
- Does any rule of absence apply to her ?
-She has been away from UK for 295 days in the last 3 years.

(Her mother will be filing here application for BC very soon.)

Look forward to your response. Thanks for your help!

Thanks

She shouldn't register before either her mother or father applies for naturalisation.

1. Section 3(1).
2. I agree.
3. No.

Thanks Vinny. Appreciate your response.

Her mother plans to apply soon. I will plan to apply both of them together.

Thanks again.
