Is It Mandatory to carry old passports when travelling

Post by hassanh » Fri Oct 06, 2017 10:16 am

Hi,

Just a very quick question. I will be travelling with family to Pakistan in December for one month. I have one expired passport while my wife has two expired passports. Both of our expired passports have our initial entry clearance but now we both have BRPs.

Is it mandatory to keep old expired passports while travelling? Main reason not to carry old passports is to have as less as possible important documents during travel. This may not be immigration related question but will appreciate your response.

Thanks,
Hassan

The answer is no (based on my experience). Only carry if your old passport has a valid (not expired) visa sticker on it.
I am not an immigration adviser...All IMHO.
