Live to remain UK travel to USA

Hi guys,

Do i need a visa to travel to america with leave to remain in the uk. I have my Zimbabwean passport. How long does it take to obtain visa if needed.

Yes you do. Your UK leave to remain visa is only valid in and for the UK.

A visa can take a couple of weeks sometimes a couple of months.

Thank you. I've emailed the embassy. Hopefully i'll get a response back. I must say the website is not user friendly. Slightly painful to use.

You apply online I think, you will be interviewed and if there is any illegal stay or anything adverse in your history, unlikely you will get the visa, which I understand also costs over £100.

You also need evidence of funds, proof of travel, who you are visiting, evidence of ties in the UK etc.

Is the purpose of your trip a holiday or......?

Going for Christmas shopping to the US? Wow, so you should have no problem showing some pre-booked accommodation and strong work ties back to your home country.
