Hi Guys,

After 138 days Alhamdulillah I got my passport with 'FP'.
Now at least in peace.
My best wishes to all of you who're really waiting for such a long time.
Best wishes to Mr. Irfan, Mr. Baig, Enka. Bollox and many more.

be strong and optimistic
I'm hopeful that insha Allah you all will get visa and soon you'll be joining your partners

they made my decision on 7th Sep and I got my passport on 9th Oct.
It means already more than 1 moth has passed.
Drasl123, congrats! :) Have you received another not straightforward email after first time or not? :)

Lately, a lot of us received an email where they are saying or advicing us how our application is not straightforward and that they are gonna decide as soon as they are able to.

Thanks
Yeah, I received another not straightforward email as a REPLY to escalation of my Application Process.

It's a kind of formated reply which they usually send. It doesn't carry any value.

Thanks a lot
Wish you best of luck from bottom of my heart.

you've waited for such a long time and I'm 100% sure you'll get visa. In my observation those who're waiting long time they're issuing them visa

Has anyone applied from Dubai? How long does it take to get the decision? Will the passport be sent to UK?

I think I got this email at the end of August upon Escalaltion of my case.
and
on 7th Sep they decided my case
but
I received my passport on 9th Oct.
So they've already wasted my more than one month.
I think their reply doesn't carry any value.
Those who're waiting more than 100 days, in my observation soon they'll hear back and it would be good news for them.
I wish and pray for the best outcomes of all my fellow members

Dear Mr R******

Thank you for your email correspondence of 13 September where you have raised a complaint about the delay in your wife’s residence permit.

You have said that the application should take no longer than 3 weeks to process but instead it has taken more than 21 weeks.

I am unable to uphold your complaint.

I am sorry that the service you have received fell below the standard you were expecting. Some applications require further checks and cannot be completed until the result of these checks are known According to our records your wife was sent an email on 9 October stating that her application is not straightforward. She will be notified as soon as a decision has been made

I hope this answers your concerns.

After a month since i complain to the uk home office, this is what they send to me....

Hello

To those who have got their permit, have you tried tracking the application on this link? If yes then when does it start tracking with vfs number?

https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... visastatus

I have been checking with vfs reference number and it’s not recognising.

Regards.

Hi Irfan,

It never accepted my GW number, and still doesn't even though we now have a decision. It's my understanding that this check only applies in the case of applications made in the UK and won't work for those sent from abroad. At least I think that's what I read/was told.

Best regards

Hello

To those who have got their permit, have you tried tracking the application on this link? If yes then when does it start tracking with vfs number?

https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... visastatus

I have been checking with vfs reference number and it’s not recognising.

Regards.

Irfan
Hi Irfan,

It never accepted my GW number, and still doesn't even though we now have a decision. It's my understanding that this check only applies in the case of applications made in the UK and won't work for those sent from abroad. At least I think that's what I read/was told.

Best regards
Thanks mate.

Hi All,
Just like all of you guys I too have been waiting for my visa for a long time now and have been regularly reading the replies of everyone.
I have done my visa application from South Mumbai, on the 18th April 2017 and have completed 125 working days. Have escalated my case about three times on email and my husband has also called up the home office from UK to complain and enquire about the same but as usual they on say that "we will escalate your case" but so far no decision has been made. I too have received the not straight forward email last week after I had escalated my case.....
What an unending wait is this going to be.......

Wow, this is really bad... how did we end up in such a horrible situation. what are these secret “checks” and why arent they telling anyone what they are
There are no checks - I received the same email, it's just a BS excuse to cover up their backlog

Hello drasl123,

Congrats. So now you are happy. All the best to you and your partner.

Please share what not straightforward mail they sent you after escalation. They sent me also a mail after escalation that my application is not straightforward. Can you please share the full mail.

Thanks

Regards,
Byron
Thank a lot

I received the following email.

"Dear

Regarding Visa Application: GWF #########
For <<MISSING DATA FOR:>>## First Name ##########

Thank you for your enquiry

As we have previously advised, the processing of this application has not been straightforward. We are continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we are able to. We cannot give a time scale for when a decision will be made, however I have escalated this to the appropriate Entry Clearance team so that it can be progressed as quickly as possible.

If you have any further enquiries, please visit our website at www.GOV.UK

Kind Regards

Hi, to let you know, when I received this email the decision was made that same day.
Not saying it's the same in all cases, but in my case it was in fact forwarded to the 'Entry Clearance team' as the email mentioned and they processed it that day and Visa was issues the next day.
