Absence from the UK 180 or 90 days per year?

Hello,

I have a question about the maximum amount of days that I can move abroad from the UK. I have Tier 2 Visa and planning to get ILR after living in the UK for 5 years.

I tried to search but found different results related to 90 and 180 days.

This is calculated for every 12 months of living in the UK, right?

How does it calculated when applying for ILR? Should I just provide my passport with all stamps?

Are there differences in absence periods if I have business trips or going for a vacation?

180 days per 12 month cycle, counting backwards from date you plan to apply for ILR.

ALL absence come under the 180 days limit.
