Re-entry Visas

Has anyone had any luck getting an appointment in Dublin Burgh Quay for a re-entry visa? Have tried several times applying at https://reentryvisa.inis.gov.ie but there seem to be precisely zero appointments available. We are hoping to travel for Christmas. I realise there is the postal option but would rather avoid that if possible

I seem to remember somebody here reporting successfully getting an appointment at short notice through the use of the GNIB android app.

I think you can get it to notify you if an appointment comes available at short notice. I haven't tried it myself, since I don't live in Dublin but maybe give it a shot.

Haha that was actually me! That was an appointment for initial registration, for which the app was very useful. Now we need a re-entry visa which doesn't appear to be an option on the app, and the website is useless with no appointments listed (plus you have to re-enter details every time you want to check)

My friend went to burgh quay office and took appointment from there. She got appointment for 15 days later date.

Please anyone could tell me , I have temporary letter stamp4 until Feb 2018 , do I have to pay GNIB 300 euros and Re-entry fee ??

Hi Grace,

Providing your application is treated under the EU Directive it will be free of charge.

It's free for Eu Treaty applications. I have been through this process myself with my non EU wife and it was free of charge.

Hi Grace what is the 300 euros for? Is you Stamp 4 based on relationship with an EU citizen?

I think GNIB card cost 300€ fee.
I got temporary stamp 4 letter from EU treaty after acknowledged divorced with eu spouse.

EU3 in process hope get PR in time framed in letter

A quick tip from my experience getting a re-entry visa, since people may come across this in the future and its a very disorganised system. Was struggling to get an appointment through the website, tried someones previous suggestion of turning up in person, they were decidedly unhelpful and pretty much unwilling to even speak to us but they finally made one suggestion that did help (and is not mentioned anywhere else as far as I can see): re-entry appointments are added between 8-9am every morning, and are pretty much taken by 9am. So this is the time to go online and look.

We were able to get an appointment booked the following morning once we knew this. If only they'd bothered to add the info to their website it might have helped!
