RCOS allocation meeting is expected to happen today

Any idea whether all approved applications will be notified on the same day today or they will be informed one by one in the week ?

Any inputs on the notification timelines please .....

Can anyone please let me know what's RCOS means.

As I have applied for tier 2 visa last month by premium service but my application was on hold for further check. I am switching my category from Tier 1 to tier 2 .

Considering the 11th was on a Saturday this month, it should be out today for positive candidates. Usually for the negative ones, you find out after a week or two. This happened to me for the Sep 2017 allocation. Submitted my docs and everything on time, then they raised a few queries. Eventually got rejected and found out on 23rd sep, reason for rejection - few mistakes with the RLMT.

Hoping for great news this time. Whats your score coming out as?

RLMT satisfied(atleast we hope, my employer has run the Ad for more than 2 months)
if RLMT is considered to be satisfied, then its 30 score
my salary is falling under the score 12
Total will be 42 I suppose

what about your score pls
also can you provide the details of the rejection earlier, what happened with the RLMT, has it not met 28 days ?

Successful RLMT awards you 20 points, not 30 mate. Check here - https://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/personnel/pe ... srequests/

My RLMT awards me with 20, then salary is giving me 16, so im at 36 which is quite decent. My concern is RLMT. THis needs to be conducted properly. If salary and RLMT meets their criteria then you're looking at a 90% probability of making it through.

My employers ad was rolling for longer than 6 months since they geniunely could not find a local candidate. According to the rules, ad cannot be longer than 6 months and also it did not have a closing date - hence they rejected it in Sep. So my employer reconducted the RLMT again properly so lets see...

Anyone else still waiting for the Nov 2017 COS allocation? Please post relevant comments and try to mention your Document submission date, whether UKVI raised any queries, and your score so that we can compare and have a better understanding of the situation.

GOOD luck to everyone..

This is my first time applying so I am not quite sure how to calculate my points.
I'll be applying for a shortage occupation visa.
Where can I find information regarding calculating points?
Thanks

Hi Naveen, this thread is regarding the Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) and not visa. Since you are switching from Tier 1 to Tier 2, I think that is a different process altogether.

No update as yet. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get any news this week as I've read in the previous posts that people got their COS after the 20th. Do let us know if you get your COS today. Good luck everyone!

30 marks for sponsorship-proof will be certificate of sponsorship
20 marks for adequate pay-proof again certificate of sponsorship
10 points for adequate funds-proof your bank statement covering last 3 months minimum balance as you stated
10 points-english language test
Is this how you calculate your points?
I read that 30,000 is adequate salary, what if the salary is higher than that? The points will still remain 20?
Thanks

Mate, these points are for calculating your visa AFTER you receive the COS under your name from your employer. The points for calculating COS is different.

Calculating points for COS is explained here below: https://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/personnel/pe ... srequests/

Level 1 ---------------------------------------------------------
Other post, & Resident Labour Market Test met or exempt - 20
Resident Labour Market Test met through 'Milkround' for new graduate jobs or internships (not relevant) - 30
PhD level post, & Resident Labour Market Test met - 75
Shortage Occupation (rarely relevant) - 130

Level 2 ---------------------------------------------------------
Salary brackets. Example -
£36,000 - £36,999.99 - 16
£40,000 - £40,999.99 - 20

Minimum points cut off is 21 points. Which is why the allocation website states that all applications with proper RLMT and points above 21 are successful. However applications with higher score are prioritized for that quota.

I have no idea what my score is. My sponsor got asked for additional info and he sent them last week that's all I know. I really hope it's gonna be ok this time!

It'd be great if anyone can give us a shout when you get it!
