Best of luck! What is your score coming out as?
I have no idea what my score is. My sponsor got asked for additional info and he sent them last week that's all I know. I really hope it's gonna be ok this time!

It'd be great if anyone can give us a shout when you get it!

The first time we applied for COS in September (which was rejected unfortunately), HO did raise queries after my employer submitted the docs. Questions were around organization hierarchy, pay slips and why the ad was rolled out longer than 6 months.

This is why ultimately my application was rejected, since the rules state that RLMT cannot run longer than 6 months.

SO reapplied for this month. No queries raised this time.. I guess thats a good sign :P

I believe that if the RLMT has been conducted properly by your employer and your points are above 21, then there really is no reason for the HO to reject.

Also, if HO hasn't raised any queries - more reason to be positive. We'll all make it 8)

30 marks for sponsorship-proof will be certificate of sponsorship
20 marks for adequate pay-proof again certificate of sponsorship
10 points for adequate funds-proof your bank statement covering last 3 months minimum balance as you stated
10 points-english language test
Is this how you calculate your points?
I read that 30,000 is adequate salary, what if the salary is higher than that? The points will still remain 20?
Thanks

Mate, these points are for calculating your visa AFTER you receive the COS under your name from your employer. The points for calculating COS is different.

Calculating points for COS is explained here below: https://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/personnel/pe ... srequests/

Level 1 ---------------------------------------------------------
Other post, & Resident Labour Market Test met or exempt - 20
Resident Labour Market Test met through 'Milkround' for new graduate jobs or internships (not relevant) - 30
PhD level post, & Resident Labour Market Test met - 75
Shortage Occupation (rarely relevant) - 130

Level 2 ---------------------------------------------------------
Salary brackets. Example -
£36,000 - £36,999.99 - 16
£40,000 - £40,999.99 - 20

Minimum points cut off is 21 points. Which is why the allocation website states that all applications with proper RLMT and points above 21 are successful. However applications with higher score are prioritized for that quota.
Thanks,
My points based on salary are 23
I am in shortage occupation category so don't if that will give some more points.

it's still very early in the UK so I haven't got the chance to chase yet

But I know someone working in the immigration department of a UK university received RCOS for their staff on Monday... He told me HO is short in staff and resources and that could be the reason it's been so much delay in releasing the certificates.

Yeah, I figured they may be understaffed after reading all the previous month's RCOS news. But I am trying to figure out on what basis do they release early RCOS for some people and delayed for others? Is it ordered based on applications submitted or those with higher score?

I was talking to an employee today who has lived and worked in UK - he mentioned that as long as no queries were raised, and your salary level is above average, RCOS should definitely be delivered.

Waiting anxiously :|

I applied for one RCOS for my client and have not heard back yet. It's the first one I am applying for so I am a bit confused about everyone's comments on extra documents being submitted or asked for by the HO. Am I correct in thinking that the RCOS application is submitted through SMS and no docs need to be sent unless requested at this stage?

I just checked with my employer a few minutes ago and unfortunately the status is still under review.

I called my lawyer and to my surprise, I just learned that there is a difference between COS and Restricted-COS. Apparently for RCOS applications, the status is given on the 11th of the month or the next closest working day (so 13th of November). IF the status is under review for RCOS post the 11th, then this may suggest that the application has chances of being rejected.

Can someone please confirm this? Is it possible to get approval on RESTRICTED-COS a few days/weeks later?

That sounds worrying..... but it also says on the gov site that it can take up to 5 working days to release all rcos.

Some have also said as long as the result for the month is not published online, there's still a chance.

Did you ask your sponsor/lawyer to chase for you?

Yeah I also heard about the 5 working days rule.

@lilyrose I noticed that you have also commented under the Oct 2017 rCOS thread. What happened to your first application? Is this your second time applying for rCOS?

@mschase

There was some miscommunication in my first application. The HO didn't send out the letter to my sponsor to ask for the addionatinal info but they thought they did. So they rejected my application cuz my sponsor didn't respond (he didn't know) but then realised they never sent that letter out. Then they told us what they requested and asked us to re-apply this month. I'm surprised they still haven't given out the rcos even they had acknowledged that it was a mistake on their end :-/

@lilyrose Sorry to hear that. SO for this scenario, your employer did not have to conduct the RLMT again, correct? Also, for this time around - did HO have any queries or requested any further info from your employer? If not then I am sure you'll get the good news.

My employer was not requested for any further info this time.

No, RMLT wasn't mentioned at all. And no more queries or addionational info this time as far as I know. I should hope it will come soon as we've done everything they asked for.

Can you please let me know if you have heard anything from your sponsor?
