Stamp duty relief a public fund?

Hi All,

Could someone knowledgeable on the Stamp duty tax relief that was announced in the budget todayprovide some light on this?

Is this counted as a public fund/benefit since you would have to claim it back from the govt from what I understand.

I've recently bought a new build house and completion date is in December. Don't want to end up in a situation where I break visa rules.

Not a subject matter expert but I'd be very surprised if SDLT break was considered a benefit for immigration purposes.

Tier 2 visa holders don't have access to public fund, neither do I.

so why are you worried about the relief then?
If it is from the public fund you will not get it and if it is not a public fund you will get it mate
