Can I get my partners passport back for ID Verify purpose

Dear Experts,

I have applied for my Tier 1 Entrepreneur extension on 3rd May 2017, My partner(Dependent) got a new job offer and the company needed Original Passport to verify ID.

We want to know if we can get Passport for ID verification purpose without withdrawing application or affecting ?

If Yes , Would this affect our processing time ?

Its more than 6 months should we wait for decision or ask for passport and return back ?

Please advise us ! Sorry if this question is been repeated .

Yes you can request without withdrawing your application. You just need to fill online form. But it could delay your application. Highly doubt they would decide an application without passport and You will have maximum 28 days to return the passports.
