Hi Everyone,

Praise the Lord! My family finally got their EEA FP yesterday. 138 working days. Over 7 months of wait. So all pending batches of Apr/May/June are finally getting completed. Just wanted to add:

Applied from Mumbai: 15th May 2017.

After going to all the posts in this thread, I came to the conclusion that chasing the HO for an escalation or contacting MP/Solvit is pointless. So after applying, here is what I did:

NO calls/emails to anyone asking for an update or escalation.
NO contact to any MP
NO contact to Solvit
NO wasting of any money anywhere for an update
NO stress. Just carried on with life as usual 8)

Received passports with EEA FP's: 25th Nov 2017.

I just waited this out cos I knew HO had to complete my application in some time or the other. It was difficult but I just carried on with life and forgot that I had even applied. :D

All the best everyone.

Tony
Thankyou Tony, for the update at least we are glad to hear over the last week a lot of our friends here on this forum are receiving their FP so there are some officers working faster on the EEA FP's

Thanks,
Con

Hi guys,

My husband has received a text from VSF today with the following text "The processed visa application for GWF***** is ready for collection"

What does this mean? Does it mean a decision has been made?

Does anyone know how it works with the dates in regards to travelling? If I have put down 10th of January as intended travel date would that mean I can only travel from 10th January onwards even if the Visa is has been issued on the 25th of November? How does this work? I am quite confused.

You can travel at any time after the date that the visa is valid for. If it is valid from 25th November, you can travel from this date.

Thank you for your help. So if it is valid from 25th November I can travel anytime within the next 6 months? Or is there a certain time period the applicant needs to enter UK? I have put down the intended travel date of 10th January 2018 for my husband as he can't travel at an earlier date due to personal problems. Is that fine?

Check the dates on the visa and do the maths !
There must be a "valid from" and "valid until", you'll be fine as long as the travel date is within those dates.

Hello everyone,
I’ve applied on 16th August 2017 and still waiting for a decision.
Last email I’ve received was on 8th November which says “Your enquiry has been forwarded to the team that is dealing with these applications. They will contact you in due course with an update”
But i still don’t have a call.
Has anyone been in the same situation?
Reply me please
Thank you!
