Saahib ali
In ur case it took slightly over 2 months after the letter of post decesion case work unit. So home office is following 3 months deadline in most cases.

Hi Challenge,

My case is almost similar to yours, I am on Tier 2 Visa now and I will be eligible for 10 years ILR in January 19th 2017.
my question is, did you submit any letter from sponsor (your employer) in your SET (LR) application?

Thanks in advance for your advise.

Best wishes
Gopi

Hi Hassan
When it went passed over three months i wrote a letter to PDCU, highlighting that it has taken 3 months + 2 weeks. I also enclosed copy of court decision and PDCU letter.
Then it took less than a week to get my BRP and document back from Home Office.

I am sure they are considering three months but sometimes it can go more than that.

Hi Everyone,
Is anyone could let me know. I have been to window premium service on 09 May and its over 6 months my application still pending online status "awaiting a decision" do you know how long they take when they hold the application. I applied for LR. switch my Tier 1 pending application. No refusal. Tax amendment was done 2 years ago. All tax cleared.

Read the Set(LR) form. It tells you exactly what is required for long residence ILR. Employer from Tier 2 sponsor is NOT one of them.

Hi all,
I am living here in uk for 13 years but applied for 10 years set LR from the last 10 years from 2017 date.
I have mentioned in my covering letter that I lived here for 13 years the actual date of entry into uk will that affect my application.
In the date when you currently entered i used the date just 10 years behind when i was granted visa
I am confused please can someone advise.

Hi
I wanted to get some help
I came to uk on student visa September 2012 and was applied for extension on tier 4 inside uk got that aswell successfully and then I got married in December 2015 and applied for spouse visa inside uk in April 2016 and got it successfully under 5 year route and now I applied for the extension and got an reply saying the I do not qualify for the 5 year route so they put me on 10 year route and issued me with visa which expires in 2020 so I wanted to ask for indefinite ILR can I use my count of my previous visa including my previous visa which was 2.5 year under 5 year route aswell as my student visa or do I start the counting of visa from now as I have been put on the 10 year route as if my previous visa counts then I only have to apply once more time for leave to remain of 2.5 years after my current one expires and then ILR so please let me know any helps please as it very long to wait 10 year

Hi gurpritegulati
Yes u can apply for ilr 10 years a d u can count ur time from the day u entered UK. U qualify for set LR from the day u entered UK if there are no breaks in ur residency.

Good evening
today was my appointment at a premium service and with the grace of almighty Allah my visa for indefinite leave got approved .

I have been a silent reader of this forum for so many year, but for some reason I fogot the password of my account and with my best efforts I could not retrieve my account.
came in uk 2007. my main concern was break in continuity of long term residence because i have stayed out of country in 2012, for moan 240 days in one go. but i had exceptionally compassionate circumstances.my father passed away and i had fallen sick over seas. i was admitted in hospital and thenw as told to have bed rest for 3 months. i had all the documents and thanks to Allah, today i got my indefinite with in 2 and half hour.
my case was complex. one of my visa got rejected in past then i had to spend a year in courts. lost appeal in first tribunal and then my partner completed her 10 years and we withdraw her appeal for the permission of upper tribunal and submit a new case for ilr and i my self applied as her spouse. and then it got approved.

i have strong believe if you have genuine case you should go to the premium service with all the relevant documents and you will get indefinite.

thank you very much for all the help i received on this forum

best regards

Hello Admin and group members I want to know something about my case.... below are the details:

I went for my SET LR application at Croydon PSC on 9th November (10 year route)where they asked me to provide documents related to my Tier1 visa company detail, business details etc within 14 days which I posted last Monday 20th November 2017 which was received by HO on Tuesday... So I want to know how much time they take to respond as I spoke to HO customer support and the lady advised that it will take six months minimum to make the decision is it correct?? and is there anyway I could track the application progress coz she mentioned that I can’t track same day applications on the given website please advise.. Thanks in advance
Hello Saxena
I don’t think it will take 6 months as there were people on the group who had same situations but they got call within 1 month that they get the visa so hopefully you will get good news.
I am going on 29 December so please share your list of documents they asked ?
I got one more questions that did you not know that they ask for the documents as we had discussions that they always ask ?

Hello Raheel
Please provide me your email if possible and I will send you the document..
I knew about this but my friends have advised and some of them applied without providing a single document from Tier 1 as according to them in Long residence it doesn't matter what visa you were on as long as you living legally... I found strange when the case worker asked me all this....

I don't think this is correct information - I have an idea and read the guidance as well. I just wanted to find out who has submitted ILR through same route and what documents needed.
