Hi All
Here is my timeline,

Applied online on 8/Aug/2017 (+1 dependant)
Documents posted on 11/Aug/2017
Acknowledgement received on 30/Sep/2017
TRD received Today on : 29/Nov/2017

I should mention that I didnot send the original ILR as i got confirmation email that it is not needed just a clear paper copy of both sides will be enough . Obviously Original of old travel document must be sent plus photos and print out of application forms signed by a solicitor and also back of the photos must be signed as well. To make sure you send everythings simply follow whatever is written on the application form , not more nor less.

It is time for mid Aug applicants ,
Thanks to whoever that shared their timeline.
It is Travel time Now :-)
Good Luck

anyone has experienced please share 🤦🏻‍♀️

I got a letter from HO saying my application has been approved on 24.11.2017 and I should receive my TD within 7 working days from the date of that letter ( which means from 24.11)

Today is the 8th day and I havent got my TD yet. Could anyone tell me roughly how long you guys get your TD since the day you receive the approval letter?

In case I dont receive your TD after 7 days, what should I do? Please help cause I need to travel in 10 days :(

Many thanks!

Hello ,

Does anyone know if they return the expired travel document , I want to apply for anew one after obtaining ilr but am Abigail hesitant due to me thinking I won’t get my old one back, since it proves my five year residence for citizenship application/ qualification.

hi Kevin,

In cases of genuine emergencies the Home Office will accept requests to process urgently. You would need to supply evidence of the emergency or reason for requesting priority processing. Read the guidance online. Section 22 of this guidance says:
"Please note that we will only deal with an application as a priority if there is a sufficiently
compelling or compassionate reason to do so, supported by acceptable documentary evidence.
Examples of acceptable evidence might be a recent death certificate, or a recent medical report or
Doctor’s letter. Copies of documentary evidence can be emailed to
traveldocumentenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk or faxed to 020 8196 0109."

GOOD LUCK!

Hi everyone,

Hi Arez,
No there will be no fingerprints for Travel Document. Acknowledgement says only that we have received your application and your application will be decided within 70 working days. Along with acknowledging letter, they also return the BRP card.

Hi peeps

I know im flying too fast and asking this question premature. I just sent application for the ILR a week ago and I understand normal SLA is 6 months.

Question: has anyone applied for the travel document after receiving their ILR and how long does it take?

When I applied for my first travel document after receiving the refugee status I got it after hefty 9 months.

Just curious.

Thanks.

08-01-2018 send an email to explain my urgency for the TD with documents(proof of urgent)

Hi, just received a call from HO
and clarified my reasoning
Been told that will be in touch. ( not agreed/refused my request for urgent )
Then received an email in 10 min

“Good Morning
Thank you for your enquiry regarding your application for a Home office travel document.
Your application has been passed to case worker for consideration and you will be notified in due course of the outcome.
Regards
Travel Documents Section”

What does this indicates??
