I would like to share my timeline on joint Application for an EEA and Non EEA!

COA received11/10/17 (date 6/10/17)

Sending Email:16/10/17 asking for a quicker decision as my grandma pass away and i got no visa to travel.
wait and wait and wait, been checking status online everyday!!!

Online Status Decided:22/11/17
Non EEA PR received:24/11/17 (date 21/11/17) Pretty shock and excited!! first thought was a refusing letter but i can feel a card inside.
DCPR and returning documents received:29/11/17(date 21/11)

So delightful to get my PR quickly and i do believed that HO do listen sometime!!!
Thank you to you all for sharing some info and experience. It have been really helpful.
My HB retained the right as a really complicated self employed. I did submitted a long explaining cover letter together with a summary of supporting documents, i also label each year in different colour.

26/09/2017 - payment taken
9/10/2017 - email confirmation case ID received
6/10/2017 - status update: Awaiting decision
11/10/2017 - biometrics letter received
(dated 6/10/2017, done next day)
24/10/2017 - COA received (dated 20/10/17)
7/11/17 - requested for passports return for travelling
11/11/17 - passports arrived
(but only the new one without visa and my husband’s one returned - I forgot to ask also for the old one where the resident card is)
13/11/17 - requested again for my old passport wi
24/11/17 - document received with letter saying PR card will be sent in 10 working days.
(dated 23/11/17), online status -decided on 23/11/17
2/12/17 - letter from Dx Delivery received to rearrange the delivery (dated 30/11/17), arranged for redelivery on 5/12/17...so hopefully I will have it tomorrow

So overall it took them exactly 3 months from date of receipt of my application and documentation to decide on an outcome.

There were some gaps off during the 5 years employment history due to finding work etc but went through successfully. sent an extra explanation sheet of 5 years activity. ( combination of self employed + employment)
