Moving to Portugal from UK (NON EU)

Hello helpers...

I would like to know if it's possible for me to move to Portugal. I'm currently living in the UK still on my South African passport. I am currently married to an EU citizen (since 2003). But would like to know if it's possible for me to move alone? My parents have recently retired near Lisbon and I would like to live by them. My husband has a business here in UK and isn't able to move to Portugal.

Can I move to Portugal without my husband? What visa would I need to apply for? Can my parents apply for a family reunion visa for me?

My parents are South African, I currently have a UK residence card of a EEA family member.

Then no, you cannot move to Portugal as a Schengen visa won't allow you stay long term.

What visa did your parents obtain to be able to retire to Portugal?

Check about article 88. This can help you, but you will need to secure a work promise from a local employer.
