Did someone not post earlier that they were approved with 50 points (gaurav1109) or did you calculate your points wrong?

Hi Friends,
I just got reply from my solicitor and my RCoS is rejected/refused as the Cap has been oversubscribed.
My total points is 55 and not listed in shortage occupation
I will reapply for February month and see.
Good luck guys!
If it's over cap oversubscription, HO's email should state 'Refused'
'Rejected' is when some issue with the RCOS request made when some mistakes with RLMT or other queries

Was everyone’s account for the application updated online or this is the answer from your solicitors?

Just checked with my lawyer, where she indicated her side has quite a few applicants between 50-60 points and still had no info from HO.. think HO is still in process not sure what happened with the 50 point approval yesterday and 55 refusal today... I am still waiting with 45 points..

It was 27.

The reply from HO is like "Your application has been refused, as it did not meet the minimum points score for the allocation of a restricted CoS on the above decision date."

In November, HO raised request to send documents to support our application which my employer didn't receive until after the cut-off date of 5th December. My employer then sent all the information at the end of December, requested by HO during November allocation.

Now, the HO didn't raise request to send any additional documents this time, but directly refused. Does this mean the HO is satisfied with our RLMT, but refused just because of low score compared to others?

Or they didn't even bother to review our application and refused just because of low score. Does anyone have similar situation like this, where HO first refused due to low score and then asked for additional documents the next month when reapplied?

Too much confused!

Actually, your post is also a bit confusing to me, can you please clarify below

Your employer has replied to HO queries around end of December, was that the same got refused now ?
Which means you haven't had refusal in December month, you had it only in January
correct?
please clarify

So for the time being, I believe only people who have points 50 or plus has got any response!
Only 1 person posted so far about RCOS approval and he is with 50 points
also, we are not sure whether he was approved under "out of month exceptional allocation" or normal monthly allocation....
@sptula : Do you know the process how can someone apply under 'out of month exceptional allocation'?

It's available in Tier 2 employer guide, actually, employer needs to send an email (there is an email address available in that document) explaining the urgency why they need RCOS immediately

Yes, my employer applied on 2nd Nov, HO raised queries on 3rd Nov but sent it to wrong email ID which employer never received. Finally got rejected for November allocation and after chasing HO got the queries list on 6th December, just after the cut-off date for December application date. Employer reapplied on 8th December, but was not considered for December allocation and the status was 'Pending' throughout December. All the queries were answered by the end of December through email and Post.

It got changed to 'Under Review' in January, and refused in January allocation!

As, it's simply a mistake from HO's end in November allocation, I am more disturbed as the cut-off for November was within our reach.

Hey guys I've been following the thread. Very strange that someone with 50 points received CoS but someone with 55 did not. Are we 100% they only look at points? All seems strange at present.

You can apply for urgent consideration but I think it says you still need to have the points cut off from the previous month and it seems this month it will be very high again. They might make an exception in your case if you can prove it was HO error but I say it's unlikely as for urgent consideration I think it needs to be genuinely urgent (e.g you're a doctor and patents need urgent surgery) or your current visa is expiring soon. Are there any urgent circumstances that might help your chances? Because if so make sure that's on your request.

This means quota for this month is again full and cut-off appears to be somewhere around 55-50. This honestly is quite horrible and considering I applied in Nov 2017 (when cut-off was 21) and refused at the end of Dec is unfair.

Atleast those that applied for Nov batch and scored above 21 should get an exemption.
