US Visit Visa

Hi

I would really appreciate some help regarding US Visit Visa please.

My Wife ( British National ) is going to USA for a Conference in San Francisco and staying there for couple of weeks, so me and my daughter ( British National )are planning on going with her as I already booked holidays from work. My understanding is they both can get ESTA but I need to apply for a Visit Visa. The hotel is booked under her name from work so I need to know what documents do I need also do I need to tell them on a form I have FLR FP Visa and I overstayed my visa previously ?? also Do I need to book airline ticket in advance ??

Work Letter about my job
Biomatrics
Passport
national ID Card ( Pakistan )
Council Tax

Do I need any other documents ??
