Naturalisation ~ a quick question

Post by bluesapphire » Tue Apr 01, 2008 4:02 pm

I came to UK on 5th of May 2002 and got my ILR and got ILR on 28th May 2007.

1) When can I apply for naturalisation? 5th May 2008 or 28th May 2008?
2) Can some one please refer the check list of things to be submitted along with the application?
3) Any other useful links and procedure?

Thanks,

Thanks for your reply and gone through the links. I have another quick question. I have passed my 'Life in UK' test and submitted the certificate along with my ILR application last year.

Do I need to take the test again?

In theory no - but do you have a copy of the certificate?

My wife applied my naturalisation a month or so ago and even though she ticked the "I passed the Life in the UK test to qualify for settlement" box they wrote to her asking her to provide the original certificate again.

Not sure if they really needed to see it again or if the caseworker made a mistake.

Thanks JAJ,

Yes, I have the copy of the certificate with me. Do want me to attach this with the naturalisation application?

Thanks,
