new MN1 form

Hello gurus,
I am registering my daughter as British citizen and I have filled out all form and just going to post them today. However, I have just noticed the new version form 2018 january updated on 24 january 2018. so am i ok to post the form 2017 january or again i have to do updated version? what to do?

You have to use the new one.

Oh my God :shock:

I just downloaded and filled in the 2017 form on the 21st and yesterday got my second referee to sign it. I have posted it just today.

Hopefully they will have some discretion on accepting the old form for the first few days.

I read somewhere that the "grace" period is 21 days, counting from the 24th of Jan when they updated the form, so you should be fine.

Thank you twgal, that gives peace of mind and makes sense, as most people would download the form and take a few days to fill it in, get the referees signatures and post it (or get the appointment at the NCS), so there should be a short period where both forms are accepted.

In addition it does not seem they have changed that much.
