English Language Test for ILR

Post by SUMEETJ » Mon Jan 08, 2018 2:22 pm

Hello,

My Wife is applying for ILR on 03/02/2018 (She is a PBS Dependent).

We have applied for her NARIC letter on 15/12/2017 and hoping to receiving the same before this date. Called up NARIC and they mentioned the scheduled completion date as per their system is 15/01/2018.

As a backup, we are planning that she gives an approved English Language test on 29/01/2018 in case the letter doesn't come in time.

(A) Is the gap between the test date and ILR sufficient for it to reflect in the Home Office systems (as per the application form no supporting documents are required, only the SELT reference is to be quoted on the application form)?

or

(B) Do we need to submit the Trinity College Certificate with the application, in which case, probably she will need to take the test earlier?

Appreciate your kind help.

Regards,

Hello Moderators,

We received the NARIC letter for my wife's degree.

In the ILR application, am I correct to say that along with the NARIC letters (one confirms that it is equivalent to Bachelors (Honours) in UK, the other mentioned that the level of English is CEFR Level C1), we also need to append:-

(1) Her Original Degree Certificate
(2) Letter from the University confirming medium of instruction as English

Appreciate your kind feedback

Yes, you need to submit all the documents.

Question 5.2 on ILR form - Help Needed

Post by SUMEETJ » Tue Jan 30, 2018 10:59 am

Hi,

We are applying for my Wife's ILR (She is a PBS dependent at the moment). I am a British Citizen.

1) While the house we stay is in Joint Name, hence for 5.1, we have marked Owned by You? as Yes. I assume this is correct.

2) Question 5.2 Asks Do you, your partner or both pay the mortgage -> which we have marked as Yes. I assume this is correct.

3). I pay the whole mortgage monthly and there is no outlay from my wife's account. What should be answer for - If so, how much do you pay each month. I assume I should mentioned 0, as my wife doesn't pay any part of the monthly mortgage?

Appreciate your kind help on Q3.

Friends,

Any help on my query on Question 5.2 on the SET O Form? We have an appointment this Saturday.

I pay the mortgage in full, nothing goes out from my wife's bank account.

What amount should I fill on my wife's ILR application?

Appreciate your kind help.

5.2 Do you or your partner, or both, pay any rent or mortgage for your home?

If so, how much do you pay each month?
"you" refers to the applicant, i.e. your wife.

I think your wife gave the correct answers; yes, 0.
