English language evidence for Naturalisation (ILR since 2012) - Doubts

I have some queries regarding English language evidence for Naturalisation.
The application will be for myself and my wife. We are both Indian citizens on ILR. Been on ILR for 6 years now!!

A) Should we both get NARIC certificates about our degrees being taught in English?
B) Our IELTS test centres are not on the approved list. Should we take another IELTS or English test now?


Our immigration histories:

Myself:
ILR : 09 January 2012
Tier 1 extension : January 2009
HSMP : January 2007

LIUK test : 15/07/2011

English Language requirement was met primarily by 'Degree taught in English' - Evidence was 1) original degree 2) letter from university stating medium of instruction was english 3) My university and course was in the list of the browser-based HSMP / Tier 1 application forms. [NARIC letter was not required]
I had also submitted IELTS (from the year 2003) as secondary evidence.

Wife:
ILR : 09 January 2012
Tier 1 dependant : January 2009
HSMP dependant : June 2008

LIUK test : 15/07/2011
There was no mandatory English Language requirement for the dependant. But we had submitted her IELTS from the year 2008.

You both need EITHER the B1 English test from a current HO approved test provider OR you need UK NARIC UKVI red route as you applied for ILR before 28th October 2013.

Looking at both options it seems taking English test wud be quicker and cost-effective.

By the way, do you think the following makes me exempt from Naric UKVI?
- Diploma from a UK university (2-year part-time course) and also
- Membership of a Royal College which is obtained through sitting a communication skills exam?

As CR001 rightly pointed out, just go for the B1 test. It gives you much more peace of mind. Some caseworkers can be lazy and funny. The test is £50 I think and you'll be done in 15 minutes.

No it would not. It must be a UK Degree to qualify for exemption.

As CR001 has corrected its £150/-.
It's still better as I have to spend time obtaining a transcript from the university although I already have a letter from them statting the course was taught in English. This was enough for UKBA a few years ago!!

By the way, GESE seems to be a shorter exam than IELTS life skills.
Is that correct?

Hmm. I am not sure whether it's classed as a UK degree as it's not a taught course.
Its more clinical teaching and taking an exam at the end of 3 years of work placements.
The degree I am referring to is MRCP.

Is there any way to check whether MRCP is classed as a UK degree for immigration purposes by the UKBA?
