Hello all,

I am looking to do a 1 year master of business administration degree in the UK.

My wife's Tier 2 expires in Jan 2019 and I am here on a dependent and currently working on contract.

I am currently located in Edinburgh.

What are my options as MBA intake is usually in Sep?

Can I switch to Tier 4 before my Tier 2 dependent expires?

Please suggest.

You can apply as soon as the Tier 4 sponsor issues a CAS, which will be a maximum 3 months before the start date of the course.

If by "switch" you mean can you apply in the UK, the answer is no. You will need to apply in your home country, so logistically it would make sense to do that before the course starts or during the Christmas vacation.

I would like to know if a T2 visa holder can switch to Tier 4 for study while on a T2 visa?

Also, can this be done while in the UK?

Can the dependent also apply for Tier 4 dependent in UK itself or has to return to his home country for application?

My spouse (main applicant) has Tier 2 valid up to Jan 2019 and would like to apply for a 2 year fulltime MBA in the UK, I believe most admissions being in September? I would like to accompany her and work in the UK, while she does her MBA in the UK .
