Proof of funds...is it required in this case...!!!

Post by Toolkit » Sun Apr 01, 2018 11:25 pm

Dear Gurus,

Am a British Citizen and would like to sponsor my Mothers travel to the UK. I lost my father 5 years back and she inherited his money as she was the nominee. Now she has around £10,000 in savings and fixed deposits on her name.

Its been in her account since 5 years now.

Do I need to prove and provide documentary evidence for the source of these funds?

At this stage not sure how and what documents to provide.

Please advise..

Regards..

'Give details about 2 of your parents'...

Post by Toolkit » Wed Apr 04, 2018 11:23 pm

Hi Friends,

Am filling up the application form online 'Standard Visit Visa' for my mom.

Under 'Parent details' section, is a question 'Give details about 2 of your parents'. Sorry, but do I need to put my Mom's parents details or do I need to put the details of my mom who is travelling to the UK on standard visit visa.

Please advise.

Regards...

Hi Cr001,

Thanks for your reply...

Am afraid but no mention of ' 'childrens parents'??'

It's a standard family visit visa that am applying for my mom.

Under section --- Give details about your first parent
--- Give details about 2 of your parents.
With four option under it - Father, Mother, Stepmother, Stepfather.

Not sure if its my moms details or her parents details..

Satnam

Hi Guys,

So what am doing now is:

1. Putting in the details of the applicant (my mom's) dad and mom details.

2. Proof of funds in her account, I have crafted a letter and explained that she inherited the money after my dad expired, as she was the nominee, and attaching his death certificate along. Pls let me know if I need to add any document as a proof of funds.

Kindly let me know if there is anything to add further to this

Satnam

Home Address Proof..

Post by Toolkit » Mon Apr 09, 2018 9:41 am

Hi Friends..

For Home Address proof what documents can I show..

The document checklist says that...

Documents showing where you live, such as:
Property deed / mortgage statements / tenancy agreements / accountant's
letters / land registration documents

I 've got none of the above on my mother's name. Is it mandatory to show the above stated documents?
Can I show Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Voter ID card...
Can you guys suggest something, some other documents that I can show please..

Regards..
