FLR (FP) Extension – Same day service

Post by Tier 4 » Tue Oct 10, 2017 11:09 pm

I am a British citizen (by Naturalisation) and my Mrs is on FLR (FP) visa (10 year route to settlement), and we got two UK born British children. My Mrs FLR (FP) visa extension is due in April 2018. My questions are:

1. Has anyone got experience applying FLR (FP) extension by using same day service. What is the
possibility and pro & cons of it?
2. In case of postal application do I have to send my own original passport with my Mrs application or a
certified copy will be sufficient.
3. How early can a person apply for FLR (FP) extension in both cases (postal and same day)

I have checked the timeline mostly people have used postal service for their FLR FP extension instead of using same day service, seems like now a days its taking almost a year.

Many thanks

Brother in law used same day service for first FLR FP. Had no issues. He went via solictor to make sure paperwork all in order and had the appointment in the evening at Croydon

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

Did your brother in law had leave to remain to use the premium service?

Did your brother in law had leave to remain before using the premium service. Was wondering if I could use the premium service as I have no leave to remain.

Hi,

Just wondering I want to book premium appointment for my Mrs FLR FP visa extension. Her visa expires on 24 April 2018. UKBA rules says:

- You can book a premium service appointment up to 45 days in advance.

Is that means; i can only book an appointment 45 days early before her visa expires. Or I can book an appointment now but in the time frame of 45 days in advance before her visa expires ????

I am worried the slots for these appointment will be limited so i want to book appointment as early as possible. Just don't want to stuck in postal application as now a days they taking around 10 months to decide it.

Many thanks

Appointments are only available to book 6 weeks in advance. It is too early to book appointments now for end of April.

Hi,

Can I ask is English qualification needed for FLR FP extension?

My wife already has IELTS qualification with 6.5 bands, done in 2014 (means its expired). She used it when she obtained her flr fp visa back in 2015.

Thanks

Hi,

I have heard UKBA is increasing the fees and NHS charges from next month April 2018. Just wondering what will happen in our case as I already have paid full fee and NHS charges online, while booking my Mrs appointment for her FLR(FP) same day service on 10th April. That was the first available appointment.

Do we have to pay extra on the day of appointment there. Or what's done is done.

Thanks

No,
You do not have to pay extra

This only applies to people who submit after the dates

Re: FLR (FP) Extension – Same day service

Post by Tier 4 » Fri Apr 06, 2018 6:44 pm

Hi guys,

My Mrs got a premium same day service appointment for her FLR (FP) (10 years settlement route) visa extension on 10 April.

I got few questions if someone can help me.

1.
  • Since we booked this appointment online and paid full fee online too what do we mention in the payment section of form. As there is no such option regarding those who already have paid fee online.

2.
  • On page 15 it says:
5.9 Are you or your partner or included family member/s receiving any public funds?

I receive Tax credits, Child Benefits and Housing benefits all on my own name. I know we have no option but to select whatever we are taking but does this will effect on her visa application? Or should I not mention this in the form? Or maybe put a sticky note that all benefits all on my husband name?

3.
My Mrs was granted 2.5 years FLR (FP) visa on the basis of ECHR Artical 8. What category should I select now. As me and our both children are British Citizens.
On page 11 I think we should select these three options:
    • Family Life as a Partner (10 year route).
    • Private Life in the UK (10 year route).
    • Leave outside the Rules on the basis of family or private life.
And leave these two as in my understanding they are for single parents.
    • Family Life as a Parent (5 year route).
    • Family Life as a Parent (10 year route).
    • 4. Do we need to make and take photocopies of any thing on our appointment including originals?
We shall be very thankful if someone will be kind enough to answer them.

    Many Thanks

    Hi,

Just to let you guys know my Mrs has received her FLR (FP) visa extension today (2.5 years - Partner route) in less than two hours at Glasgow UKBA office by premium service.

There isn't a timeline to share but thought just to give a little update.

    Thanks

Well, we proved every thing back in 2015 during our appeal , it was just a extension application.

Well, if the situation and relations are same or improved towards good then obviously there isn't a lot to prove. Like in our case things got better compared to the past when we originally gained this visa.
