The Home Office 'help line' frequently gives incorrect advice (even on the simplest of immigration issues) as this is outsourced to an agency, with staff who appear to be inadequately trained in the UK Immigration Rules.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Even more so that they take no responsibility for the consequences of their incorrect advice. :!:

You would think for the insane amount of money they charge for their applications, basic correct advice would be at least in their service standard, but it isn't.

These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.

Government outsource this thus the HO doesn't need to take any responsibility just in case wrong information provided.
