The whole process took 7 weeks from the date of application despite HO asking to provide additional evidence that I made full payment for two PCNs issued in the last 12 months. Once I posted that evidence, I received my approval letter within 8 days. My piece of advice for applicants is if you disclose any PCNs, which were issued by local authorities and HO is unlikely to have access to that information, make sure you enclose with your application original evidence that you paid them off in full and there is no outstanding balance. You can contact those authorities in advance and ask for written confirmation that you made full payment. This way you can expedite the process probably by about two weeks.
