Spouse PBS Dependant (partner British Citizen now)

Post by dannycov » Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:24 am

I am British Citizen now but my partner is still on PBS Dependant Leave to Remain.

My details:
ILR on 12/06/2015
British Citizenship acquired on 08/02/2017

Here are my partner's visa status and dates:
First visa - Tier 1 General Partner of Xx xxxx until 04/04/2015
Second visa - PBS Dependant Leave to Remain - until 22/06/2018

As you can see, the current entitlement is ending soon. Could you please guide me which visa I need to apply for partner next?

Would it be an extension for PBS Dependant? Or Is there any other category applicable now as I am British Citizen now?

Please let me know any form names, category applicable etc.

If you need any other information, please ask.

Thank you Vinny. I did take a look at that post before I posted my question.

I believe this URL from that linked post is applicable in my case, specifically section "Dependants of PBS (Tier 1 General, Tier 2) migrants"

immigration-for-family-members/dependan ... 14832.html

However it's not clear which application do I need to make to apply further? The info says if PBS Dependant applies for FLR (M) it resets the ILR clock. So I would like to avoid that happening. My partner has already spend about 4 years here in UK ( first visa as Tier 1 General from April, 2014 to April, 2015, and then PBS Dependant leave to remain from April, 2015 to Current date)

Please advise.

Thank you Vinny. Yes that makes sense. I noticed I may have to pay Health Surcharge too? I don't think we paid it last time.
