Expired TB Medical Certificate

Post by esterluve » Sat May 05, 2018 5:57 pm

Hello all,
Kindly advise on what to do concerning my expired TB certificate
I got my UK spouse settlement visa (non priority) approved after waiting for more than 6 months.

Am set to travel to join my spouse.should I travel with my expired TB certificate or I should go for a new one ?
The TB certificate is only valid for 6 months and due to my visa not coming out early, the certificate was expired.

Am also aware that am to present the TB certificate with other documents at the airport for clearance..

Kindly advise

Thanks

Take the expired one with you and do not apply for a new one. If required, you will be asked to have a TB test at the airport.

Want to recheck the answer.
We have similar situation - due the rcos cap issue me with family waited almost 6 months to get visas. Today we finally received passports with visas. We are planning to enter the UK around Sep 6 but our TB certificates expires on August 22.
Any advises is it ok to have expired ones on first enter?

Btw can anyone also help with which route we need to use on first enter in airport?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Use NON EU Passport Holders Route

Better to have. Why risk it? Worst case they will make you do the tests there.

Thanks for route guide.

As for TB certificate main reason is time and cost. We have not a lot of time to pack and go. TB approved center located in other city and certificates cost around 250 GBP for my family. So if worst case scenario will be making test in airport - I'll probably take the risk. A lot of ppl who entered the UK not asked to show the TB certificate.

This is for 3 persons. And it may depend on country as well.
