Stuck at the "Pay For IHS" step

Post by polluz » Fri May 18, 2018 1:32 pm

My friend is currently submitting his T1E initial application and the dependent visa applications for his wife and two kids.

After he made the appointment, he got stuck at the "Pay for IHS" step. When he clicked on the button to continue, he was redirected to the immigration healthcare surcharge service website to confirm the details for payment. Then, in the summary page, he noticed that the system showed that "You don't have any dependents", but there's no button nor option to say no. In that page, there's only a button stating "These details are correct" for him to click on. But, he does have his dependant applications. It seems that the IHS service system cannot detect the correlation between his and his dependents' applications.

What should he do? Should he click on the "These details are correct", although it's not, in order to complete the online process?

Look forward to further help. Thanks.

I am not familiar with the online application - but does the payable amount include the dependants ?
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.

He's not yet in the page showing the payable amount. He got stuck in the summary page -- which, I guess, is the page before the page showing the payable amount.

I think, the key question is whether it does matter to allow and confirm the system stating that he doesn't have any dependants when paying for IHS. If anyone in the forum has relevant experience, please kindly advise. Thanks.

Hi polluz, do you know if your friend managed to resolve this issue? I'm currently facing the same situation and can't figure out how to proceed...
