No, they are in hurry, and they know that without increase the salary, there is no chance. I think they are not willing to increase it anyway. I trusted this Deloitte company for doing my visa work, and they repeatedly mis-informed me about the process. It was my mistake that I trusted them. Even a popcorn seller in cinema can throw words such as "backlog clearance" and "we do our best" to an applicant. The real information are numbers and trends, which the company did not know anything about.

I had to do everything myself, and negotiated my salary based on these facts.

But no worries, probably better opportunities are waiting for me considering the Brexit, and conservative government.

My company faced the same thing. They hired a rather expensive immigration lawyer since they were doing this for the first time. The firm did not give my company a good picture of the whole situation which I am sure they must have been aware of seeing so many applications being refused, they just kept saying that they need to reapply the next month because of the backlog which will be cleared in the coming months. Even now my company has a very dim understanding of the real issue after having spent so much money on their fees.

Same, completely clueless. They now want to try again in June at 45 again. Wondering if I should try or should I go ahead with another offer I have in another country.....the UK job is better which is the only reason I am struggling to decide. Maybe I can accept the other offer and let this company keep trying....anyway 45 is not going to happen we know that.

Until last Sunday when my Tier 2 ICT dependant visa expired, I lived and worked in the UK for 5 years. My employer has been applying since Feb and has re-advertised for RLMT. I have put together a business case to get a promotion and raise above 50k in the June application however, given the trend above £55k now with 2,000 NEW certificates, there is no point!

How did the number of new applications above 55 points double since march?

If it is normal one (non SOC), my points are 40 points.

For 2136, it is only very specific jobs that fall under the SOL (not SOC). As you don't state what your job title and role is, hard for anyone to comment.

Senior developer employed by a qualifying company, where the job requires a person with a minimum of five years’ relevant experience and demonstrable experience of having led a team.

I don't believe the NHS is a 'qualifying company'. Qualifying company does not mean an approved sponsor by the way so you are likely not on a shortage occupation SOC under 2136. Appendix K clearly states what a qualifying company is.

4. In this Appendix “qualifying company” means a company which:
(a) has obtained permission from the Home Office to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship in respect of the relevant job on the basis that the job is included on the Shortage Occupation List and the company:
(i) is licensed as a sponsor for the purposes of Tier 2 of the Points Based System,
(ii) at the time of obtaining such permission, employs between 20 and 250 employees (inclusive), or employs fewer than 20 employees and has provided a letter from the Department for International Trade, confirming that the Department has been working with the company and supports the application in relation to its trade or investment activity,
(iii) is not more than 25% owned by a company which has one or more other establishments in the UK and one of those establishments employs more than 250 employees; and
(iv) has not been established in the UK for the purpose of supplying services exclusively to a single company or company group in the UK; and

Hi, I just registered to this web site. I don't know my point and how to calculate it. My salary is 40k and title is software developer. It's been five months my employer started to apply for cos but I'm still waiting here. This month I didn't get any result yet. And I don't have any hopes. What should I do? Do you think after 2 or 3 months can I get a pass?

applications submitted before 5th this month would be considered this month and after 5th would be considered next month.

The exception is if someone can prove the cos allocation is urgent, in which case, applications submitted after 5th will be considered in this month allocation.
