Family Visa or Parent of British child route?

Hello , I just applied for a family visa to visit the father of my daughter and got rejected on the grounds that I would not be able to afford my trip without third party financial assistance, having no assets, property or investments in my country. I live with my daughter in Africa and she has a british passport. Her father lives in the UK and wrote a supporting letter+ payslips stating he will be looking after us during the visit. But they seem to think that I will not leave the UK at the end of my visit. Please Help !

What proof of strong connections to your home country did you provide to satisfy the ECO that you will return to your home country after the visit?
