Travelling with new born..how soon

Post by Ahens » Sat Jun 09, 2018 8:50 pm

Hi,
I am on a Tier 2 visa and expecting my second child in Aug and intend to go back to India for good after this. I have a few queries
1. My husbands Tier 2 visa expires in Sep. Is there any way by which his visa may be extended so that we can travel together in Oct-as recommended by the doctors
2. Will the new baby need a visa as well, considering that we don’t intend to come back.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Please help

You need passport for your newborn.

Visa only if you want to enter back.

I don't know your medical situation and can't comment on doctors advice, though we travelled within 23 days of my child being born here, everything was fine.

Considering you won't be coming back extending the visa for few days would be very costly.
Don't misconstrue my views for professional immigration advice, just trying to give back to a community that helped me through my journey.

The baby does not need a visa.

Your husband should leave the UK before his visa expires.

Thank you both. So in effect my husband will HAVE to apply to switch as dependent on my visa, even if it is just for a month. Since the application is from within the UK , will he need a new PCC from India again as it is more than 6months old now. But he has been staying in the UK since then, so is it required at all.
