It looks like the cut off is going to be 60k salary for non sol
And what about the two cases approved with score = 50´s?
Exactly. The cut off cannot be 60.

Also, I urge all of you on this forum to please not to wait dormantly for your employers to send you an email with regard to rejection or approval. PLEASE EMAIL THEM AND ASK ABOUT THE STATUS. Many a times employers dont instantly inform about the status of COS. PLEASE ASK YOUR EMPLOYER.
Exactly.. My employer says they will receive an email and would let me know as soon as they hear from Home Office. I also understand that they could login to SMS portal and check status of my application, for which they say they would let me know once they receive Email notification.
Atleast request status in SMS portal could give some clarity if it will go through this month, not sure if i can urge them to share status.

I am in the same boat - they are only passively waiting to be notified by Home Office...

The email comes very shortly after the portal status changes. Just be patient until the end of the week. But I’m also sure they would happily log on to the portal If you ask them. Hopefully good changes come through for next month!

I just don't quite understand why some people on 50 points have got theirs whilst other people on 50 points are still waiting around. I thought Home Office operates on an 'all or nothing' basis for everyone with the same points.

They don't approve some 50's and not others. But they do roll through at different times every month. The good news is that if there was legitimately 2 people approved on 50 that werent actually shortage occupation or under exceptional circumstance than all 50 pointers will go through

I’ve been offered a role with 55k+ salary and have not received an offer letter yet.
I was told that my new employer will file for a COS in June and once it is approved, will get the formal offer letter and the steps for visa etc.
What really worries me is whether my name was filed in June list or not.
What are the probable chances for me to score points and get a confirmation if my cos was fielded in June?
I have the same concern.
Unfortunately the employer has total control over that process - To protect yourself, I wouldn't even consider a job offer is there until they have given you the Certificate of Sponsorship number for you to file your visa application
THIS!

Do not submit your resignation in your current organization until the COS is approved. The offer letter means nothing until the COS (and eventually the Visa) is granted. Share this this with other aspirants you may meet. I made this mistake and stuck in limbo now.

My potential employer also suggested they will try in SOL(not sure how) and would not share if they submitted this month or any other information. all they are saying is to wait.

45 points (non SOL i think) waiting.

I wouldn't even resign after the COS - until your new Tier 2 is in your passport - it is at that point you then should quit

Thanos (Theresa may) has been defeated by Captain Marvel (Sajid) against it's will to reduce the migration to few thousands, we have won this in 2nd part of 2018. Lol

Just for fun. Still there should be an official announcement.

Don't think that is true - only less than 100 unused from May rolled into June

Krimurthy is talking about cos which gets lapsed because it is unused by the employer for more than 3 months.

2017 year elapsed in march month and all ununsed cos expired in march, a brand new year has started in april and think it takes 3 moths to carry forward and would be july.

Agreed, it is still less than 3 months since the April allocations - doubt June would benefit from this

Do you think the new exemption will be applicable in june itself? Or it will be applicable from july onwards?

Isn't the minimum required points 32? I read this document released by Home Office in March 2018. Please refer to Page 7 in this doc : https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 2.0ext.pdf

From what I gather reading into the comments in this thread, the successful COS grant requests in the first couple of days were:
  • 1 person with 60 points (Non Shortage)
  • 1 person with 50 points (Non Shortage)
  • 1 person on Shortage Occupation - points unknown
After this, it's been quiet for some reason OR people have not bothered to provide an update here after getting an approval or refusal.
Of course, the number of people active on the forum here are a very small % of overall applications and thus any conclusions are vague, at best.

MAYBE, the HO is holding back on further grants until the rule to remove NHS staff from monthly cap is officially announced and that it is in force from June only - I'm being highly optimistic here though. :)

This is what im thinking too. That the HO Will exclude doctors and nurses from the cap from this month itself.

Whilst we can do nothing but wait, is it worth answering this poll to see some data distribution?

I request ONLY those people to vote, who satisfy all these conditions below :
1) RCOS applied for you in the June panel
2) You are awaiting the result
3) Your job is in the non-shortage category
4) You were not offered a job through the milkround route

I have not created this poll for the shortage category as those applicants will surely get the RCOS irrespective. Also, I've created this on the basis on salary (and not points), as a lot of people are confused about the points calculation.

https://vote.pollcode.com/52681967

Please vote only once. Click on the "View" button if you wish to see the results later on.

Thanks
