Hi,

Many articles(one listed below) mentions NHS claim of 2300 doctors being refused visa from Nov to May. As per the data shared through the RTI act the total number of visas that were refused until April itself were 2200 (please correct me if i am wrong). So, by May this figure would be max 3000. Now if NHS says 2300 were doctors who were refused it would mean only 700 applications are refused from other occupations in May.

This somehow doesn't add up and looks to good to be true. Also, applications greater than 130 score are about 750 in April, most of these would be Nurses so it looks like a big number too. Total applications in April are 4500 and out of which 2300 doctors + about 500 Nurses =2800 and remaining 1700 are general folks. So to me it seems once this new rule is in place all of us would get through the very next month.

Can someone do this calculation at their end to double check. It would give us a sense of how many months would it take for the backlog to clear out once docs and nurses are out of the equation.

Appreciate the stepks taken by HO but the concern still prevails considering number of rcos still remains same.

Good that you have taken time and analysed it along with this am keen to know the status of approvals from today onwards if the new rule applies from this month then it will a great news. Another think to consider is there is no rejection yet though it's too early but there are not too many approvals happened in last 2 months as well.

Wow I really hope your prediction is true. Do you have a link for the data from RTI act? Couldn’t find it

Another important note would be how many 45's are doctors if they occupy even 30 to 40% then it's good for us. All speculations.

It is interesting they don't notify people ranked by points but seems the notifications are in fairly random order

It will be refused in that case, and your employer will have to reapply in the July panel, before 5th July.

It's official

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/doct ... 2-visa-cap
maybe this explains about the delay for all other applicants too

Does anyone know the job code for doctors? I know for Nurses it is 2231 and there are over 400 nurses every month. If anyone could let me know for doctors, we could work out, number of free spaces every month?

As far as I recall in the past threads were mentioned that NHS usually consume 30-40% (around 700) certificates from 2k available. This is the number of granted certificates. I don't know how much non-SOL NHS doctors are waiting with 45p or less.

yeah but all NHS codes are not out of quota, its only doctors and nurses. there are still positions such as medical registrar and others still part of quota. People also talk about 2300 doctors rejected but are they unique applications or only 500 so applying 6 times?
