Your employer seems to be an early starter in terms of UK working times... My employer contact hasn't arrived in office to provide an update yet...

You have to be patient. People on this thread (me included) have been told that the home Office have informed employers of delays. It’s not even 9 am UK time.

It is also important to point out here that not all doctors and nurses are exempted from the cap, only doctors code 2211 and nurses code 2231 has been exempted. So please be mindful of the fact that only these categories of doctors and nurses will be exempted.
I just had to register to be able to reply this comment.First of all I am a doctor and some of my colleagues in SOC have gotten their COS approved.
Secondly I would like to know where you got this information from and how valid it is that only doctors and nurses belonging to those codes have been exempted from the cap because to the best of my knowledge the news says that “All doctors and nurses are exempted from tier 2 visa caps “
I had to research the code and I realize it stands for general practitioners .The more reason why I doubt this information because the NHS is in dire need of doctors in all specialties and not Only GPS and usually many GPs don’t require a RCOs because they already have their Tier 2 s
So If you could confirm where with facts where you got this information from.Enlighten us

Yes, the exploratory memorandum to the rule changes says that ‘all doctors and nurses’ will be exempt from the cap. It’s not just SOC code doctors, the government has been heavily criticised for not having enough doctors of all specialties and not just shortage listed ones

Well it simply means that doctors get into specialty training to become GPS after working in the UK for at least 6months and you know that restricted COS is only needed for the first UK job?

The exemption is only for the following SOC doctors code 2211 and nurses code 2231. Not all fields under this SOC will belong to SOL.

I'm still surprised. this month is not like any other month. This type of delay has never really happened before. I am hoping it's a positive delay. They should let us know already. I need to ensure that if I don't get through this month, I remind my company law firm to put in an application for next month. so am at 45 points non SOL, Finance field. We have done another RLMT at 50 points non SOL and it's ready for July intake. My bags are packed already!

Is it possible for your employer to apply with a higher salary ( for the sake of getting COS ) and then not pay you the same?

No, that is not permitted. You must be paid what is stated on the CoS and SOC.

Companies caught doing things like that might have their licenses revoked per my understanding...

Agreed this month is unusual and the level of delay seems to be unprecedented as well - good move for the RLMT at higher points - I reckon it is worth for others to follow suit on that

Is it possible to apply like this this month with one point and next month with another RLMT with change in points , Have you checked with you solicitors and employer.

9 days after the date and no one is hearing any word back is ridiculous, I can understand a slight delay but not to this extent. Surely they should be sure about some certain points brackets getting through already and be able to notify? Please post as soon as anything is heard! Hopefully by this afternoon some of us are getting some feedback.

Hi,

If Doctors and Nurses are off RCOS cap from July we will all get through in August. I have done this analysis but i cannot paste my excel workings here as this forum doesnt support html or images. In fact August will have 600 vacancies.

Yes it is. Remember... it is the employer who puts out the advert for RLMT at the higher rate of 50k according to HO rules. I applied again, and they use this new RLMT to apply for COS. Nothing wrong in that I presume. I recall alot of us here have don't the same too. The employer only needs to make sure that they pay you the higher salary as per the RLMT advert. .. and YES, my employer agreed to do this...

What about July? There is some indication that that doctors (some?) are out of the cap already, like the doctor who posted here who is not getting a CoS this month but receiving it in July instead

I’d like to know as it’s likely that my job might give up after July and I am on low thirties
