Spouse visa - TOC application processing

Post by cmk » Wed Jun 20, 2018 5:11 pm

Hi all,

I submitted a Transfer of Conditions (TOC) application by post on 25 May 2018 for my spouse visa which I had been granted in my maiden name - I have just recently changed my name following marriage and know that my BRP needs to be updated within 3 months of the name change to reflect this. I have seen that they took the money for the application out of my bank account the week after I posted the application, but I haven’t received any sort of correspondence. I have read it takes ~8 weeks but in the past when I have done postal applications for previous things they have usually sent me a confirmation letter saying that they received my application, and the biometric enrolment usually followed swiftly after. I realise there might be a backlog of applications or something of the sort but I just wondered if anyone had recent experiences of doing TOC applications for a name change following marriage and how long it took?

Thanks!

hello, could you share what documents you sent in? and has the BRP arrived yet?
