Hi all,
I have plan to apply for Tier 1 in first week of June from London (work permit->Tier 1)
I have few questions

Pls check following documents are correct?
Age --20 points -- Original passport
Qualification --30 -- Original degree certificate
Previous earnings--40
june 2007 - Jan 2008 -> Indian salary (e-payslips with sign and seal of employer, Indian Bank statement on bank letter)
feb 2008 - May 2008 -> UK salary (payslips and Uk bank statement)
English language -- 10 ( my college is recognised in BIA Self assessment tool)
Maintenance fund --10 -- One month current account UK bank statement i.e 1st May to 31 st May with funds above £800.

My questions:
1) For maintenance of funds is it current account statement is valid?
2) Do UK payslips require stamp and sign of employer ( i will get payslips by post)
3) My name on following docs are :
Passport: Raju Bangalore Ramesh
Degree certificate: Raju BR
Indian Payslips: Raju BR
UK Payslips: R BR
do i need to get letter from notary about all name differences?
shall I get from India or London( can any one suggest how to get in london)
4) along with above original documents, do I need submit photocopies of originals?

1) Yes, Current account is fine as you can withdraw money from it anytime.

2) Yes. Get them sealed and signed.

3) Should be fine but will help if you can get a letter from your employer stating that both are same.
Not sure on notary though.

4) Nope. Photocopies are not required to be sent.

Andy.

2. Not sure. Better you call HO to confirm. Mine were online pay slips and I got them sealed and signed.

a) Yes. I had called up HO on the same and they were fine with single statement for salary credit and fund maintenance. Just to be sure, I mentioned this in my cover letter as well.

b) Yes, helps. Formats are available in this forum :)

c) I sent a Royal Mail special delivery by 9AM envelope - as I badly need my passport to travel abroad. You can skip this one if you are willing to wait.

d) As in the summary sheet in the application form.

The way I did was

1. Cover sheet for the application
2. Application in a plastic folder
3. Evidences in a separate folder with cover sheet for each section of the evidences
4. Dependent cover sheet
5. Dependent application
6. Dependent evidences in a separate plastic folder

cheers.

UK tier 1 - Help needed - Few Doubts

Post by Jedi001 » Thu May 01, 2008 11:47 am

Hello Friends,

I am planning to apply for UK Tier 1 in few months time as I am arranging all the documents. I have few doubts and I would appreciate if someone could answer these for me.

1. For Marriage certificate or my degree certificate how can I get a transcript as I did my degree from Bangalore and there are some words on the header of the certificate which are local language & regarding my marriage certificate its mostly in local language and I need that to be English. Who does this for us?

2. ITR - I understand that we have to file our returns but would the SARAL form be enough or do I need something else?

3. Can I apply first and then after 3-4 months apply for my dependant? Is that Ok or would it go against my application? Has someone tried applying first and has got the UK tier 1 approved?

I would appreciate someone could please answer the above questions for me.

Kind Regards

Anish

Hi rajubr2002,
You can use your debit card as well. No problem. Even I had done so and money got deducted already. Cool.

Active Tier 1 topic

Post by shachit » Fri May 02, 2008 9:57 am

Hello guys,
I have come across a more active topic related to Tier 1 visa. I guess you might be able to get more views as the topic is being viewed by many more applicants (many successful applicants as well)... I would suggest that you can start using the below topic to post your queries and the processing times as well

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... &start=580

Thanks & Regards,

Kaushal, did u get the Tier1 Visa stamped ? its almost been a month for u ..
kaushal316 wrote:Hi Shubhi

Your documents look good. I also submitted my birth certificate as VFS were still not adept at handling tier 1 applications. (I applied for tier 1 on 4th april from mumbai vfs).

It would be a good idea to get bank statements attested from bank for maintenance funds. (just to be on safer side).

They shall need final years marksheet for integrascreen. Do carry it.

I shall post details about my application once i receive my passport (hopefully stamped).

Cheers,

Thanks Shubhi,

I do not have any job offer at hand. But i work for capgemini and am supposed to go to UK in June. I tried searching your threads, i assume your question is regarding internet statements for maintenance funds.

Well you need not get it stamped and signed. But it's a good practice to do so. I suppose any bank shall stamp and sign the statements.

Letter from bank is not mandatory if you have bank statement. Just mention a couple of lines explaining the bank statement in your cover letter.

Hope I have answered your queries.

Cheers

Thats gr8 kaushal ! So capgemini is ready to send u in UK with this Tier1 Visa ?, I thght companies prefer to send by work permit (now Tier2)
Yes , u r right ..regd bank statements for maintenace fund , some debate is going on with someone thr :-)
Its not possible for me to stamp & sign since that is an US bank .
Obviously , I am supporting online statements with other proofs also & explaining in the Cover letter .

If you are applying from India you need to show 2800 pounds for Main applicant and 1600 pounds per dependent. If you have 2 dependents then you need to show 3200 = 1600 * 2.

So total amount would be
6000 = (Dependents )1600 * 2 + 2800 (Main Applicant).

This amount of money should be in your or any dependents account for last 3 months.

The amount should never be less in last 3 months.

I hope I answered your queries.
Hi,

From where I can confirm this information. I mean in which official document or website, this rule is mentioned. I like to know this because, my EC has already been rejected for once due to this law, which I was not aware. If this law is mentioned some where, it means, I can not apply for Administrative Review.

Thanks,
:)

Reg Letter from Employer

Post by vipul1981 » Thu May 08, 2008 6:51 am

Hi All

Need some clarification. I applied for Tier 1 yesterday and was just goin thru the forum and noticed something.

for earning proof i sent bank statements and

1. Letter from Previous Employer
2. Letter from Current Employer

The letter from Previous Employer states my gross and net salary. But in the breakdown of salary dates and payment into my account, it shows only net salary for instance

Date Amount Credited
01/01/08 £xxxx.00

IS this ok, or it should be gross and net both? It does have all relevent details like tax reference, my NI, address, gross salary, title, every other detail which is relevent.

Please advice.

Thanks
