Can I apply in premium service and my dependents by post

Post by farismoh2005 » Wed Mar 07, 2018 10:22 pm

Hello everyone,
Me and my dependents (wife plus 2 kids) will qualify together for ILR (5 years tier 2) in August, but due to high cost of premium service I would like to apply for my self using premium service and then after I got approval I will apply for my dependents. is that possible?

My dependent visa will expire 21 days before the ILR qualifying date, so what I should do if I haven't received decision and BRP on the same day? should I apply for them without waiting decision and BRP?

Do I need to fill form for each dependent or I can use one form for all of them?
Thanks in advance

Faris

I do not understand this. Can you post exact Visa dates to further analyse this properly.

Thanks Lanrezy for response.

We Will be qualified for ILR on 15 August 2018 (based on 28 days role to complete 5 years).

Our Tier 2 Visa will expire on 8/09/2018.
I will try to apply for myself in premium service by 15 Aug, however I know in some cases the decision may be delayed, so if this happen to me how I can apply for my Dependent while my application not approved?

My Tier 2 General was issued on 30th August 2013.

I have completed the online form (SET O) and booked appointment for 3 August, but I am worry if the they considered the date on which I submitted the online form (21/06) on that case I haven't completed the continuous period, or they will consider the appointment date (3rd August)... please advice... very stressed.

Here is the rule says:

The date you appear in person will be considered as application date..

See the below guidance:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... n-v1.0.pdf

"When applying online, an applicant can choose to make an appointment at a
premium service centre to submit their proof of identity, passport photos and
supporting evidence in person. An applicant may also be requested by the Home
Office to attend an appointment. Any appointment must be usually made and
attended within 45 business days of submission of the application online.
The date of application for an in person application is the date it is submitted in
person."

@farismoh2005 - Please can you let me know if they were okay with the date of application?
Did they take your submission date or in person appointment date as date of application?

The reason being, for my wife I have booked an appointment on 21st Dec but I applied on 23rd of Nov.

Hello, They consider the date of in person appointment as the date of application, so don't worry.

For remium service yes. The service is closing on Thursday.

The new service appears to be date of online application and submission as confirmed by an HO email response a member posted recently.

Looks like they will not refund.

So I do not have a choice. I have to take this risk. Fingers crossed
