Arrival from Ireland activation

Post by defrule » Mon Jul 02, 2018 11:17 pm

My girlfriend got a t5 visa from 1 Jul 2018 to 1 Jul 2020.

She is a student in Republic of Ireland and near the end of June she flew from Dublin to London with the idea of going through UK immigration passport control. However on arrival at Heathrow she didn't need to go through passport control and when she asked someone, the person said to just go straight ahead to collect her Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).

She's a bit concerned that she hasn't gone through the right process, as she has no entry stamp to show she has entered the UK. Is there anything she should do?

There is no passport control within the Common Travel Area (UK-Ireland). Luckily she has a visa to show she is legal to be here (and a BRP).
