Page moderator or anyone with experience. Can you please advise why some ppl receive ILR valid for 5yrs and some 10yrs? Mine has come with 5 years validity, don’t know why?

I think HO has reason to do that but I think it doesn’t mater because we normally apply to become British citizenship before it expires

Hey everyone. Anyone has updates? Seems February and March applications have a delay.

I heard from a friend her work colleague recently received 3 year extension after his 5 year leave And he applied in March ... and that they give another 3 year and 2 year extension after 5 year refugee leave to those who have criminal conviction.. so I think they’ve made it like a 10 year route them

3 years or 2 years extensions are not actually meant to be indefinite leave to remain. They don’t fall under ILR and may be subject to another review at the end of the period.

It's some European regulation that all the BRP with ILR should be renewed after 12/2024 so that's why all the people have expiry date on ILR as 12/2024. Those who got early has longer duration.

Hi,

I have applied for indefinite leave to remain on 25 Jun 2018 and enrolled the biometrics on 28 Jun 2018. Can anyone please tell me that do you have to pay £19.20 to the post office as I did not pay them as they did not ask me to pay and what happens if I pay that amount now. If anyone can help, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you applied for refugee settlement, you would not need to pay. It is free of charge.

Hi All,
I always very much appreciate the help on this form ,
how long does it take to get your BRP enrolment letter after submitting the application ,
does HO use the email address to communicate or it has to be by post,
if you have a number of dependants , does it mean it might take longer for the BRP letter to get sent,
my application submitted on 16th of July , received at 9am 17th of July ,
thanks

You will each get letters by post which you take to the post office. It can take a few weeks to get the letter.

I think he should check it again as BRP are valid till 12/2024 for everyone it cannot be valid for more than that time as there is some Eu regulation and all the set p ilr BRP always mention Refugee settlement ilr on it except for kids as my dependant children BRP only says ILR no mention of refugee settelment. I think he better can explain.
