Travel to France on schegen visa as spouse of a British national

I am planning to travel with my husband to France I am a British national and he is on spouse visa the French embassy said they need our marriage certificate our marriage is not yet registered in Britain but we have our nikkah nama from Pakistan in English which was used while we applied for the spouse visa would that be ok to use to apply for schegen ?

If I remember correctly, yes, it does work.
