How much is your salary scale ?
RMLT only give you 20 points , i guess right .
I think this is not shortage skills in UK ?
My salary is 21700 and I am employed as graduate and as I am student I am exempted from RLMT

Guys here is my take

Going by number of certificates allocated this month compared to last month (which had more than 500 extra) the cut off would be much higher. Also, the companies which had freezed applying forRCoS citing the high cut off, would now want to apply after seeing july cut off ,there by increasing the competition especially in 40's.I think the cut off will be atleast 45 if not 50 citing above 2 reasons. What is your take?

It will come down further. Last time there too many applications above 50 points. That wont be the case this time. By 15th we should see applications approval for 40 points.

@LIVEWIRE40
It's just 10th Aug 2018. I believe we are all here to help each other optimistically.
Let'stry not to spread out negativity .. that too when it's only the start of the allocation.

What knowledge are you basing this on? nothing.

Doctors and nurses are permanently out so thi will always mean extra allocation from the lower to the very highest point band. They were always a significant part of the backlog.

Further, lots of companies who held off applying again will have to do new RLMTs. Some would have planned ahead but I am sure many didn’t - we are late into the year now.

The 45 backlog was a huge bottleneck and that they went through last month will ease things even if more 45 pointers apply again, that was a significant number

There was no FOI for the July breakdown so we don’t even have solid numbers to work with.

As someone who has been applying all year and reading this board for many many months, I don’t appreciate a new member coming in ans peeing on everyone’s chances for August based on nothing but guesses and maybes.

Look at the July thread. People got together to decide that it would be another 50 point month but the jump from 60 to 41 was very significant.

I’m not going to say it’s over until it’s over and I challenge anyone who wants to make pessimistic guesses to actually bring NUMBERS and not emotions

Guys ,apologies if my analysis hurt anyone.
I myself been applying for last 4 months and i want to deduce my realistic chances at 40p. Dont want to blindly be overly optimistic and raise everyones hope, only to be dejected later. Trying to be practical. That is all, thanks.

I don't think any hope is dependent on what you think/say. We're here on our individual choice and hope to gain any info/updates in case anyone gets through this month. No personal analysis or responsibilities please.
I respect your choice of thoughts but I would appreciate not to feel obligated to raise/reduce others hope.

It's my first post after stalking this forum for months, if not years. Application submitted last Friday at 45pts. Hope it'll stay at last month's level or lower.

Hey Guys,

It should go lower this month , July/August usually most of employees take leave so hiring is low this month for MNC.
Secondly, Nurses and Doctors are out to it will definitely lower than 45 in any sense.
Thirdly , Most of company freezes hiring in July - September (Q3) MNC atleast .
Especially due to BreXit, many MNC is not sure about business so it will impact in hiring decision , so it means they will limit hiring also in UK.

My analysis after taking in account of 1983 (RCoS) in Aug 2018 to be allotted then , cut-off must be near 39 this time.

I can understand your assessment however don't forget sudden raise of points was because of huge requirement for Doctors and nurses. Look what impact it has made just in a month. Honestly we all thought and were hoping for 46 cutoff last month but see what happened 2 months backlog of 50-55 points got cleared and 45 points went through in a single month and went till 41.

Even if there are more applications there might be extra 100 or 200 that won't stop points going down to 30-35 am sure this will happen unless some 500 extra applications come in to picture.

Only those can apply with valid RLMT's and new hiring process might take 1 or 2 months unless they are rapid quick. Even this happens there will be few more vacant RCOS coming from exemption.

Relax guys have patience. When you have waited for many months can't you wait for few more days.

I agree with Krimurthy.

If you take into account the additional number of applications available after the July changes, the number of applications that was stuck at 45 and that July reached 41, an August number of 30 to 35 is very likely.

There will be additional applications from companies who have been waiting, but we are still at close to 2000 with a possible 200-300 from unused allocations

I don’t like speculation and guessing. Especially when the number we ‘estimate’ is always higher than someone’s point score and we don’t want to discourage anyone. We all need to keep positive.

Krimurthy has been waiting as long as I have. I really wish you all the best in September brother!

Some others have also been here since December. Just hang on it will happen soon!

Enjoy the weekend, relax and let’s all hope for the best next week.

It will be more than 1983, they will probably borrow some from September & also unused certificates will return. 2000 should be a minimum number that can go higher

And yes, August is a variable hiring month for many companies. Don’t forget that it’s the last month of a hot English summer, so many people will be on holidays & not necessarily recruiting, while others (such as teachers) are usually hired at around this time

I was told by my HR that application numbers usually drop off in June but I imagine that with the high demand for COS this year, that is probably more around August.

Anyway, nobody has a complete set of numbers but 2000+ certificates in the eighth month of the year with a previous cutoff of 41, no doctors and nurses trying, are all good things

One more day to go! Very much excited about Monday..Hopefully, it will be a good beginning for all those who are waiting. Being very much optimistic and strongly feels that the points would come down to 30 this month. :) let's all pray.
Best Wishes to all..
