Hi,

If I am switching from Tier 2 ICT dependent to Tier 2 general.... Do I need to submit my exiting BRP along with application?

'Switching' means you are applying to change visas WITHIN the UK, which your are not as you are applying for Entry Clearance from your home country.

Yes amit you need to submit your BRP, if not then you need to surrender your old brp to the immigration people at UK airport. My friend was recently asked when he reached uk, as it shows in there system that you ain’t surrender it before.

Thanks Dhiraj for reply. So is it an option to either submit at vfs or surrender at airport. So is it advisable to submit at visa office. Just thinking in case anything goes wrong then at least I should have my existing BRP to come back.

It won't affect your tier 2 visa decision thats for sure. Later when going back to uk, they ll ask you to surrender your old brp at the airport.
