Child Tax Credit

Hello,
Pls will like to find out if my partner can claim tax credit. He has ILR, I’m still waiting for my application decision from the HO. Curious if he can apply alone, since I don’t have documents to support. His earnings are 28000.
We only receiveing child benefits and recently his applied for council house by himself. Cos things are so difficult as I’m not entitled to work yet.

He cannot apply for benefits as a single person if he is not single. This is benefit fraud.

He must declare you on the housing application and child tax credits must be claimed jointly in both your names.

Unlikely he will qualify for tax credits with his salary though.

Thanks for the quick reply. We would have to wait till my application comes out. However can we apply for any benefit without affect me? Thanks in advance
